Swing
Boyfriend Material - Alexis Hall

Luc is working for a charity who does not appreciate seeing his mistakes in the gossip rags.  While he does try his best, his semi-famous father is trying to make a comeback that is putting him in the sort of spotlight.  His friends and co-workers think he should try to date someone respectable and fix his good name.

Oliver has always been interested in Luc.  This chance to get to know him, and play his significant other is not one he could pass up.  Knowing it won't be easy they agree and get on with their lives.  Then the hard part happens......

I liked that this story told the truth.  Each characters felt real, open, dark, and rich at the same time.  I also loved the friendships, and I cringed at the families who made them hurt.  I also really liked the banter and sexy heat.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Masquerading with the Billionaire
Masquerading with the Billionaire - Alexia Adams ARC Review: Masquerading With The Billionaire (A Guide to Love) by Alexia Adams

Alexia Adams, thank you for inspiring women. Kat Smith proved that a woman can be more than a pretty face, a damsel in distress or arm candy. She had the attitude of a fighter and the skills to back it up. Masquerading With The Billionaire continues the trend that is becoming more prevalent in romantic fiction. The heroine is in the spotlight for her brain, not her body. That speaks volumes.

Murder in G Major (A Gethsemane Brown Mystery) (Volume 1) - Alexia Gordon

This was a different concept for a cozy mystery. It was funny. While I was reading this it came to mind that it reminded me of a TV show, "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir". Several pages later in the book, one of the main characters even brought up that fact. Yes, Gethsemane (the main character) was living in an old house with a ghost who appeared in front of her and talked to her.

Eamon McCarthy (the ghost and owner of the house) wants her to prove that he did not murder his wife and commit suicide. All the while Gethsemane has 6 weeks to get a team of teenagers ready to perform an orchestral piece for a competition in which she must win. No pressure.

This was a well written story with great characters and I definitely enjoyed reading it. Eamon would ALWAYS show up at the wrong time without any forewarning. Some of those times were pretty humorous. I most certainly would recommend this book to cozy lovers and I now have another new author on my cozy list.

Thanks to Henery Press and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

A Sexy Thing Happened at the Book Fest Anthology
A Sexy Thing Happened at the Book Fest (It Happened at the Book Fest) - Alexia Purdy,Lizzy Pope,Mia Bishop,J.L. McCoy

Another fun addition to the Lake Morgan Book Fest short story anthology - only this one is a little hotter. There's quite a variety of quick romance-style short stories in this one. Again, some really stood out and I loved them, while a couple fell a little flat.

Here's a couple of my favorites:

Lucy Charm: This was an amazing story - my favorite of the bunch. A good dose of awkward girl meets a strange man from the past - or the present - it's one of those where things seem to mix and merge and I was never 100% sure. But that was part of the fun of reading it. I different take on the one night stand genre that I really enjoyed.

The Gift: More of a romance in the traditional sense. I really fell in love with Rachel from the get go, she was a great character. And while I had a harder time with Ian, in the end he was a great guy - just a bit one dimensional. He is quite the gentleman when the two of them get stuck in the basement - I sure wouldn't mind being stuck down there with him!
