The Best and Most Unique Travel Guide of Tokyo, Japan

Tired of the typical boring guides? This guide tries to do the same as the “ask a local”, but it is (maybe!) better organized and more complete. In all our guides, we hire a “local” writer, and then we edit to be sure that the guide is complete, unique, fun and interesting. Typically we won’t add too many maps or photos (just a few), since you can have all that on the internet, and we like to give you only unique and original content that you won’t find easily.

Here is a brief description of the guide:
Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, is a city that takes a seat in most people’s dreams. Many are those who wish to be able to visit the Land of the Rising Sun at least once in their lives, and if you’ve chosen to read this guide, you’re probably among them. The reasons to love Japan, or to at least be curious and interested in this wonderful country are many. Some imagine Japan as the place where Ninja, Samurai and Geisha reside, in ancient palaces like those one could see in an Akira Kurosawa’s movies, surrounded by gentle cherry blossoms and accompanied by the tender sounds of traditional instruments. Other people who took an interest to Japanese culture and way of life look towards the more recent times, and perhaps towards the future as well: bullet trains, salary men and women rushing in a seemingly chaotic fashion (that is actually very neat and organized) to their jobs, inside tall and splendid skyscrapers, technology not-so-hidden behind every aspect of life. And among all this order and Japan’s typical accuracy and sense of duty is yet another side to the country. The one governed by media, of all kinds, that have slowly conquered worldwide markets. Absurd and funny TV shows that baffle the common Western onlooker but entertain the Japanese locals to no end, incredible anime and manga, videogames, arcade games, collectibles and more which have taken a stable place in teenagers, children and adults’ minds alike.

This is what Japan has to offer: tradition, innovation, folklore and technology. All mixed together and embellished and sprinkled with many other things, such as the music, the sense of fashion typical of Japanese schoolgirls and street models, the hidden secrets of the Japanese society, the tasty and unique dishes of the Japanese tradition and so much more.

And what better place to start to take a look at the perfect concoction of all these things if not from Tokyo itself? In this guide, we’ll explore the many sides of Japan as we talk about what Tokyo has to offer to the curious tourist looking for a real adventure. Explore, try new things and live the true Japanese atmosphere and I assure you that you’ll return home with more than souvenirs, but everlasting, indelible memories.
