However, she receives more emails, each revealing a clue about the murder (hints/riddles about time, location, weapon, method, etc.). She shows the emails and her computer to the authorities, but they cannot identify the sender. How can your character unravel the clues and figure out her would-be murderer’s identity and plan? How can she prepare herself for the fight of her life? What happens if she gets one of the details wrong?MonstersTake zombies to the next (terrifying) level by giving them an ability or drive that they do not typically possess in fiction. For example, perhaps zombies retain speech to taunt or fool the living, exhibit other carnal human desires, or possess basic logic or common sense (as opposed to being completely brain-dead). How would these skills or desires change the way zombies hunt humans and vice versa? What skills must your character develop to survive the zombie threat?NOTE FROM THE AUTHORIf you're in a creative rut, know that I've been there, too. I spent far too long struggling with my inability to write, and it negatively affected several aspects of my life. That's why I wrote 100 Horror Writing Prompts – because I know what it's like to feel creatively empty, and I want to help other writers beat their own blocks. In this booklet, I've combined techniques from my days in university (I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing) with the real-world lessons I learned from writing my own fiction novels. The result? A list of 100 prompts to get your creative gears spinning. But that's all I can do. The rest is up to you. Get back to writing today. Scroll up and hit buy now.- KateP.S. Check out the other Fiction Ideas booklets – each contains 100 more genre-themed fiction writing prompts!Warning: This is a horror booklet and several of the prompts contain mentions of physical violence, murder and other unsettling topics. If mentions or descriptions of these subjects will upset or offend you, this is not the booklet for you.
