When this says preformed, it means it. Patrick Stewart does an amazing - of course - job of bringing the various characters together, particularly Scrooge. Turns out this was made after the movie, which is also quite good. Though Richard E. Grant, no mater how good an actor I think he is, is way to ...

The Tim Curry narration of A Christmas Carol is free in December 2015 if you join the Ford Audiobook Club. Worth joining as they regularly have giveaways. Last month it was [bc:Everything I Never Told You|18693763|Everything I Never Told You|Celeste Ng|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386795198s/...

This is my third time reading this story and I still love it so very much. This is the most perfect christmas book out there - from the few I've read that is. I absolutely adore everything about it. THere's things to be learned for both children and adults. 'For it is good to be children sometimes, ...

Although I have known this story my entire life, I had never actually read the original. I had seen numerous adaptations of it on TV and in movies. I was surprised at how short it was. A couple of hours after picking it up, I was finished. Of course, this story is yet another tradition at Christmas....

This is an exceptional story that I hope will enchant readers for many years to come. I've seen a few movie versions but this is the first time I remember ever reading it. I especially appreciate how many of the older, outdated phrases and words were explained in the the ebook version.

Just finished my annual rereading of this classic. This book has been done and redone for movies and TV, so that it's almost become a cliche. I can't tell you how many different TV movies on Lifetime, ABC Family, and Hallmark Channel are rewwrites of this book. I'm not spoiling anything here by reve...

I've been looking for a version of A Christmas Carol that was accessible to my elementary school aged niece and nephew for awhile now. I think I found it with this book. The story was abridged, making it of more of a length that kids that age can handle, but all the flavor of the original was the...

Ebeneezer Scrooge is a grouch. He is a greedy businessman who never has a kind word for anyone and is infamous for his lack of Christmas cheer. When the three ghosts of Christmas pay him a visit, Scrooge is given the opportunity to examine his conscience, inspiring him to change his ways and be tran...

Obviously, this is not a new story by any means, and I was, like most people, already well aware of it by the time I decided to pick it up in it's original novel form. That said, I very much wanted to see what it was like in the original, and so I decided that I would read it to my family over the C...

So good! The only problem I had while reading was that I could not get the muppets and Michael Caine out of my head; however, since I am a human being, I love that movie so I guess it's not even a real problem! CHRISTMAS!!
