One of the best books ever written, horror or otherwise. The style (epistolary, in parts), the descriptions, the atmospherer - all perfect. Everyone should read this classic.

I listened to the Craft Lit production - I liked it so much more than when I read it - Heather Ordover really brings so much to the story with her explanations of the era in which Dracula was written, and on the various nuances of behavior which was lost on me the first time around. For instance, i...

Dracula - Bram Stoker I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read this novel, but at the same time I wish I could go back and read it again for the very first time. Every word was absolute gothic perfection.

But Stoker's "Dracula", despite it's originality, just w...

Influential in the Vampire genre, probably worth analyzing but I'm not really a fan of Bram Stoker's writing, & possibly a bit dated.

Dracula: the very name instantly brings to mind visions of vampires, stakes, garlic and crucifixes. But when I bothered to read the novel I realised, sadly, how twisted modern vampire fiction has become.Vampires are not meant to exist as heroes. Go back a few hundred years and men believed truly tha...
