I rotate back and forth between historical fiction and historical romance, but I generally prefer the HRs to be solidly grounded in historical detail, as opposed to made up wall paper settings. I loved The Winter Sea. Her latest, The Firebird, has a tie-in to the ending of TWS and shouldn't be read out of order. Outlander books, tops for time travel, although I was very disappointed in Echo in the Bone. more »
I've read the Angelique books through book #5, have the rest of them around here somewhere. I think it's 8 or 9 books total, and some are broken down into two - I think mostly in the UK editions.
