This is one of the few books that I think the movie may actually be better. This book had such a cool storyline and narrative that I think will be very lovely when shown on film. The book told a fun story but many times I felt mia was emotionless and i get the she was a ghost but it almost felt like...
I do not consider myself an emotional person. Not to say that I don't experience the normal range of human emotions, of course, but I'm not generally the type to start crying over a book or movie, because fictional things don't usually impact me that strongly.I cried while reading this book. In fact...
I'm not sure this is a world I belong in anymore. I'm not sure that I want to wake up. I wanted to read this book before the movie version came out to compare the two if I went to see the movie. I have been feeling quite emotional lately and even though this book has a lot of strong and difficult e...
2.4 I just didn't get the emotional whirl I expected. There was a very disconnected feeling throughout the whole story. I found no connection to the main character or her ordeal. This was not a book for my taste
I have been so excited to read this, especially after receiving it as a birthday gift back in June (thanks DR - you know me too well!). After reading countless rave reviews and seeing the movie trailer, I couldn't wait to get started. Needless to say, I had fairly high expectations for If I Stay (th...
If I Stay gained quite popularity over the internet for the past few weeks. With its good reviews from the readers. But what really made me into reading this book was I found out that there would be an upcoming movie of the novel and the lead character will be played by Chloe Moretz. And I was like,...
This book was ok. I wasn't that impressed with it which I'm shocked by. I've heard nothing but all these stellar reviews and how awesome this book is so I was so excited to finally read it. It's been sitting on my bookshelf for about a year now & I wanted to read it before the movie came out. With t...
Book was good! I can see why they want to make it into a movie. However, it was pretty one-dimensional to me. I much preferred the second book in the series Where She Went. There was so much more emotional depth in the second book that I felt was lacking in the first story.
Disclaimer: I listened to this on audio. I HATED the narrator. This book may be tolerable if it is read rather than listened to, but I will never know.I finished this book a couple of weeks ago, and I'm going to revise my star rating down to 1 1/2. There wasn't anything good here. The characters...
