Last One Home: by Debbie Macomber | Summary & Analysis
This is a Summary & Analysis of Last One Home. Debbie Macomber shines in her latest book, Last One Home. Known for her sweet, hometown romances, Macomber does not disappoint in this tale about Cassie Carter, a woman who after years of marital abuse has left her husband in order to forge a new and safer life for herself and her daughter Amiee.
Cassie Carter and her two sisters Karen and Nichole spent their childhoods alternating between being best friends and bickering enemies as is typical of sisters. Their frequent arguments over clothes and makeup were never enough to do any real damage to their relationships. But a life-altering decision sends Cassie down a different path and the once close connection she had with Karen and Nichole has been left far behind.
Faithful followers of the romance author are sure to be both delighted and touched by Cassie Carter’s tale and will undoubtedly remain hopeful that Macomber will reconsider adding subsequent stories to turn this stand-alone novel into the beginning of a new series.
