It truly pains me to write this, but I fear I liked the second volume of the Dresden Files less than the first, and I didn't like the first very much. I really wanted to give this series a chance to see what all the fuss is about, but based on the first two, I'm inclined to stop here or else skip ah...
I'm not much of an audiobook person, but I need to do something with this Audible account. After unsuccessfully trying to listen to N.K. Jemisin's The Killing Moon, due to not caring for the narrator's voice, I decided to give Jim Butcher's Fool Moon a chance. It's narrated by James Marsters (yes, ...
Werewolves!I'm not normally a huge fan of stories about werewolves. The ones I've seen on TV or film often look silly. However despite all that I definitely enjoyed this book. Harry's back and he's still a lot of fun and a punching bag for the author. A little more detail about his past, developed s...
Underwhelmed. I would rather read about the Nevernever and the White Council. They seem to be much more interesting characters. I am tired of hearing about Harry's stupid jacket. Can we move on to bigger and better things please. I will say this, the police station...incident was pretty darn good. I...
Not as good as Storm Front but still an enjoyable adventure for Chicago's only wizard PI. I'm not particularly keen on werewolves but managed to get past that and enjoy the story for what it is, our beloved hero out to save the day whilst going through every trauma possible.
This one deals with werewolves on the loose, and of course Dresden is the only one able to stop it, and again Murphy loses trust in him, tries to arrest him, etc. He has a romantic interest in Susan, the tabloid reporter again, but it's kind of boring.Well I'm still not all that convinced about thes...
I really enjoyed the first audiobook and the 2nd was just as good. Now I finally understand what all the hoopla is regarding this series. Poor Harry sure does get the sh*t beat out of though :(
Ok, so I liked James Marsters' narration again, and I liked the story for the most part. It was a little too full of only werewolves for my taste; sort of seemed like everyone and his brother was either a werewolf or conspiring with oodles of them. The main problem I had with this book is that Har...
Wow, so good. There won't be a 5 year gap before I read the next in the series. I thought James Marsters gave an excellent performance as reader of this audiobook, and while the characters didn't sound as distinct from each other as some readers may make them, I was delighted he didn't use squeaky, ...
