This was definitely a good book, if not quite as entertaining as the first one. It was refreshing to see werewolves actually portrayed as monsters, rather than pretty boys with gelled hair (this is not only a cheap shot at Twilight, for the record--it's for garbage like Nightshade and 13 to Life, to...

Kim Delaney approaches Harry in McAnally's Pub asking about symbols. Harry refuses to tell her about something that could cause her to be killed. Finally he tells her about most but not of the dangerous inner circle related to demons, demigods or Arch Angels. After Kim leaves pissed to not get he...

This was certainly better than the first book in the series, good enough for me to consider the third installment. But if Dresden continues to do stupid things just to get the plot moving along, I'll have to give up on this series. Also, some of the dialogue is a bit to cute for my taste, and much o...

All reviews for books 1-6 found here: The Dresden Files Collection 1-6.Fool Moon - 4 stars This one was non-stop action. I felt kind of lost at some points, since so much was going on at once. These books are all mysteries, since Dresden works with the cops. Most of the time, I can guess who did it,...

Harry still acts like a hormonal teenage boy most of the time. I almost didn't make it through the beginning of the book with Harry acting like the worst TSTL character. He acts so stupid and then tells us all how stupid it is and then he does it again, and again. And Murphy was getting on my nerves...

I liked this one more than the 1st installment.Though I think there were too many of those unlikely and unforeseen escapes from hopeless situations, in the last minutes and all that. Magic can do that to a storyline I guess...Great book nonetheless.

I have to admit that most of the authors I read are female and there is always romance and sexing, so this is a different pace for me. This is mystery and fantasy rolled into one. However, I'm really enjoying the series so far. Harry is a wizard who needs money asap and in Book 2 finds himself on...

I enjoyed the first Dresden book much more than this one. To me, Fool Moon felt rather "checklisty," like Butcher was making sure we saw every single category of werewolf Bob had mentioned in his discussion with Harry early in the novel. The whole book felt disjointed, in my opinion, but I can't sha...

There was a definite improvement between this and the first book, which makes me look forward to the third. As well as others who have read this, I have been promised that it continues to improve and really gets going by book 4. I like that it acknowledged how slow Harry can be to arrive at obvious ...
