I almost did not even want to write the review for this book, because I realized that I seem to be in the minority among most reviewers. But I am adhering to my policy of giving honest reviews, and after all, how can someone like every book they read? So let it be said that I did not particularly en...
The only thing that prevented me from giving this book a single star rating is that there were a few decent turns of phrase: "They hated him and they needed him and they excused him" and "She had been adept at the beginning and the ends of things, and now she saw that whatever pleasures life had to ...
I tried. I know lots of people loved this book, but I just couldn't get into it. I like a good psychological thriller, but the "psychological" side to this one was pretty heavy-handed at least in the portion of this book I plodded through.

Definitely worth reading though it tripped me out a bit. Seriously intense read. I was riveted and couldn't wait to see how thing...
This book starts out like a sunny day. Everything is lovely and sweet. Then a few clouds trickle in. And it starts to rain, a little, but that's okay. And then all hell breaks loose and your entire life is gone. Wow. Unlike anything I've read for a while. Probably closer to a 3.5-3.75.
