Hot vampires? Check. That's pretty much all I require. This was fluffy and fun. I kind of wish it was funnier because the chapter titles made it seem like it was headed down the Hold Me Closer Necromancer fun pun path. The writing wasn't as sharp as Lish McBride's, but the story moved quickly and ever...

" “Luc : It's time for our annual review of Rules You Disrespectful Bastards Never Follow.” " ― Chloe Neill, Some Girls Bite Not a bad start for a new series, but I was hoping for more... something. Basically everything what was important or slightly interesting in this book, you can put in 50 pages...

I like the bones of urban-fantasy but what I'm finding in most of these books is a lack of the rest of it (skin, sinew, muscle, etc..). I want a feast and what I get is barely passable for appetizer. This isn't bad ... it's decently written with well enough drawn characters with a passable plot .....

In case anyone reading my reviews hasn't already figured out, I tend to like my books to resemble a well made meringue - light, airy, with a bit of crunch, a bit of chewy, and just a slight bit of sweet - but not t...

A good start to a series. I have had people tell me over and over to try the Chicagoland Vampires Series since I'm such a huge fangirl of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, Morganville Vampire series and the Night Huntress Novels. I liked it, I will certainly read the series and I am certain it will be a...

Merit is saved from a vampire attack by a master vampire, but she´s not OK with the outcome, now that she´s a vampire, too.
