Rucka has managed to do the down-on-their-luck detective story without coming across as cliche. Good crime story and a good setup for a series worth reading.
Casey gave me this book to read. I really loved the art. The story is a little by-the-numbers. Down on her luck PI faces various setbacks as she tries to unravel a mystery about a missing girl. It's not too terribly much of a mystery, and none of the characters really "stuck" for me: there are a doz...
Very fun hard boiled PI story. That fact that it's set in Portland, and made by a writer from Portland helps. I'm looking forward to whenever the next graphic novel in the series comes out, because this is great, and I look forward to reading more.
