If the Rogue Fits (Must Love Rogues Book 2) - Eva Devon

Heiress is tall and not conventionally attractive, because of how her father always puts her down and men act toward her, she becomes very bitter towards the opposite sex. Earns reputation for being a man hater.

Gorgeous poor Earl needs money to rebuild estate father ruined. Finds out heroine is rich and goes for her, lucky him, he finds her sassy great.

Heroine's whole gender male hating and gruffness was a bit off-putting and hero's genial good guy shucks was a bit hokey dokey. Not a lot of depth to the writing, very surface characters with cliche villainous daddies and non-villainous misunderstood sister and friend.

The story was predictable from beginning to end and was a quick read. Some dialogue connection moments between hero and heroine but never flushed out. Surface and over trodden ground.

Book Review For: 'To Love A Highlander' by Donna Fletcher
To Love A Highlander (Highland Warriors Book 1) - Donna Fletcher

'To Love A Highlander' by Donna Fletcher is book One in the series " Highland Warriors". This is the story of Espy and Craven Laird of the Clan MacCara.
Espy is the granddaughter of the clans healer and her father was a doctor of sorts. When she cannot save Craven's wife and child during the birth he is enraged. Craven almost kills her but turns to banish her from the Clan. Espy is heartbroken for the lost and for any hurt that she might have done. But now that time has past and with greater evil after her she goes back to the Clan in hopes that time has healed Craven's hatred.
Time has soften the blow some of his great lost but Craven was slow after first to accept Espy back. But with her being back has brought new feelings to him...will he trust her and his feelings again?

There is no question for me when I see Ms. Fletcher's name on a book. I know I must have it! Ms. Fletcher draws you into the story and you go through the emotions of the story with the characters as it happens.
Loved it!
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

More Than Love (The Barrington Billionaires) by Ruth Cardello
More Than Love (The Barrington Billionaires Book 5) - Ruth Cardello

Tragedy may have shaped their world, but the Barringtons refused to allow it to ruin their lives.  Amid the secrets, because of the pain and despite the danger, this family learned the true meaning behind that word. Love proved to be the greatest asset that they could give each other. More than Love is how Grant discovered the power and responsibility behind one special word.  LOVE.  Grant is the reliable one.  His emotions run deep, but the door to his heart remains firmly closed.  Until a damsel in distress knocks that door off it's axis and worms her way inside. The surprises never stop as Viviana and Grant come face to face with their destiny.  The heart wants what it wants and Ms. Cardello knows how to deliver.

A Little Bit Like Love (South Haven Book 1) - Brooke Blaine

I liked these guys, I really did. There were things about them that frustrated me, but I got them. And felt for them.

I enjoyed the few flashbacks we got, I wish we had gotten more. It would have added depth to the story and an intensity between the characters that just wasn't quite up to par.

I did get pretty pissed at one point and wanted to chuck the book out the window, but I'm glad I didn't.

There are some incredible side characters as well, I can't wait for more of Shaw and Bash. Especially Shaw. And I hope its dirty.

Reading progress update: I've read 50%.
A Little Bit Like Love (South Haven Book 1) - Brooke Blaine

God, there’d been so many guys. More than I could fucking count, and right now I couldn’t remember a good damn one of them. But I could remember the exact sounds Jackson had made when I’d kissed him in the woods, and I could still see the mussed-up sex hair he’d sported as he left my dorm the last time I saw him. That had been the memory ingrained behind my eyes every night I fell asleep...
