Reading progress update: I've read 448 out of 448 pages.
Uprooted - Naomi Novik

I did it! I finished. I went to the My Books page in the 3M app and the book was gone. I guess I barely made it. Did I enjoy Uprooted? I did. I would've loved to have read more about the Dragon and Neiszka. I wanted a wee bit romance at the end.

So sad and stressed that this borrowed book expires today. I hope I can read and finish it today.

Field of Dishonor (Honor Harrington # 4) [Audiobook] - Get your tissues ready
Field of Dishonor - David Weber

For my thoughts on characters, plot, etc., please check out my review here.

Still enjoying Madelyn Buzzard's reading of these books and this one is extremely emotional, so her voice and how she interprets the characters are important. No matter how many times I read this or the fact I know it's coming, the death that changes everything still chokes me up.

The Short Victorious War (Honor Harrington # 3) [Audiobook] - An impossiblity
The Short Victorious War - Allyson Johnson,David Weber

For my thoughts on the writing, plot, etc. please see my review here.

Another great audiobook by Madelyn Buzzard. I love her choices for the characters' voices as well as how good she is at narrating the battle scenes which I would ordinary and in other books would find boring. One thing I appreciate about Weber - and Buzzard handles it well - is his way of getting into the heads of people like Young. I hate it, because he's view of the world is so warped, but even his side gets a voice. That side is never even remotely shown as right, but we get to see why he reacts the way he does...and how he reasons it out in his own mind.

Warning: There is strong language in this book, mostly coming from Pavel Young.

Honor of the Queen (Honor Harrington # 2) [Audiobook] - I enjoyed this so much more...though a rough story to listen to
The Honor of the Queen - David Weber,Allyson Johnson

My review of the book can be found here.

I've been fortunate enough to get to listen to some of the other Honor Harrington audiobooks narrated by Madelyn Buzzard. Sadly, these don't seem to be offered on Audible, as her voice works better with me then the one from On Basilisk Station. Buzzard handles the various voices, characters, and situations very well. I never get tired of listen to these.
