5 Bound by the Gods Stars
Bound by the Gods - Carly Fall

Ana Drake is happily living with her three Greek gods, Poseidon, Hades and Dionysus, but there is a problem in the underworld and danger is hiding in plain sight. Someone from Hades’ past has come to town and while Ana grows closer to their guest she begins to experience a string of strange illnesses that has on her deathbed. The gods must make a decision – one that someone will have to pay the price for.

The final book in the ‘More Than Men’ reverse harem romance is a thrilling read with some stunning twists and lots of thrilling suspense. The relationship between Ana and her three gods is still going strong and of course as passionate and sexy as ever but also there is some doubts that still linger, keeping this happily ever after in suspense. The plot is fast paced and full of adversity with an enemy that readers aren’t expecting. A visit from someone from Hades’ past who takes quite a liking to Ana, which adds more sizzling chemistry to the pages of this story as well as building a strong sense of ‘oh my’ suspense and anticipation, some drama and some overwhelming emotions to the story. Readers are riveted to the pages as decisions are made, consequences are revealed and a wonderfully delightful conclusion warms the heart.

4 Star Dragon Prophecy
The Dragon's Prophecy - Carly Fall

Eric Thomas is trying to put his life back together and thought he would find a good sandwich, friendly people and a little rest and relaxation in the sleepy town of Saint’s Grove. But then chaos descends on the town and he finds himself being saved from a demon attack by a female named Tirvu whom he recognizes as the woman who has been torturing him in his dreams. He agrees to help her save her people but if they do, Eric will be forced to make a choice that could destroy him.

A thrilling and suspenseful romance that crosses time and realms. The characters are strong, compelling and easily draw the readers into their story. The chemistry between Eric and Tirvu sizzles with lots of electricity and Eric feels drawn to her, their relationship is anything but easy, especially once Eric learns of their past. Emotions flow from the pages as the couple struggle with their quest and how to move forward in a relationship where they live in separate lives and in one realm their love is forbidden.

The story is fast paced and full of suspense and excitement as they come across ghosts, werewolves and vampires and demons in their search for the moonstone, but none of that comes even close to what the prophecy has in store for them. Readers may find Eric a bit wishy washy for a hero as he tries his best to deny who and what he is but his character does work well with the story and readers can certainly enjoy this entertaining story and its wonderful conclusion.

4 Star Gods
Taken By the Gods - Carly Fall

She has a dark past, but it’s Ana Drake’s present that heats up during the night when she finds herself in the fiery embraces of Poseidon, Hades and Dionysus as they visit her dreams. Ana’s world is turned upside down, though when the seams of the universe open and paranormal entities flood the town including her three Greek Gods, especially since they bring some disturbing news.

The first story in this ‘More Than Men’ trilogy is quite a fascinating read with strong, bold characters that demand the readers’ attention. The story starts off hot and just keeps getting hotter as Ana is faced with the prospect that her dreams could come very real if she can open herself up to the possibility but of course that it quite an emotional bomb which has turmoil flowing from the pages. But the chemistry between the three gods and Ana is quite undeniable and the passion is scorching hot while the romance and courting is quite sweet.

The plot is fast paced and full of suspense and excitement as the Ana has also caught the attention of Zeus and his selfish desires which if he claims Ana makes her a target of Hera. This is obviously an ongoing story but this part is delightful, exhilarating read with an epic magical battle that threatens to destroy Ana or at the very least puts the future that Poseidon, Hades, and Dionysus hopes to have with Ana in jeopardy.

The Light Within Me
The Light Within Me - Carly Fall Well, that was a nice surprise. This was downloaded as a kindle freebie and a lot of times with the free ones you get what you pay for, but this one was pretty good.

I was a bit concerned going into it as it it had a definite 'Brotherhood' feel to it. I thought it was going to be like the BDB series which I really didn't like and I only made it through the first one of those but I shouldn't have worried, it was fine. One of the similarities that got me fretting were the 'Saviors' themselves. Six of them, Alien Warriors in human form, each taller and more pumped full of testosterone than the last. Living together in a secret silo underground and only venturing out to fight crime and rarely to mingle with the mere humans. Turns out they were actually kind of likeable and I'm looking forward to finding out more about them in the rest of the series.

For those that hate insta-love I'd steer clear of this one as there's plenty of that and if you don't like your leading men to be cavemen types I'd give it a wide berth on that score too... Me? I'm not keen on the ""Me man, you woman. Assume the position"" muscle bound hero's but Noah wasn't toooo much of that. He got a bit over-dramatic with the 'she's mine' carry on at times but he was really just a big lug and it didn't get on my nerves as much as it usually does.

Any mention of their home planet and customs and language and mostly anything at all to do with that part of the story didn't really ring true and I started to question the mechanics of it all so I tried not to dwell on those bits too much as it was pulling me out of the story. It was just the planet-y stuff I glossed over though, the actual Saviors were interesting in how they differed from humans. I really liked how that was done.

Verdict? The story was good, I liked Noah and Abby and I'll definitely work my way through the rest of the series. I'm just hoping the vampires that were mentioned in passing will get a little more page time, I'd be interested to see how they fit in to it all.
