You may have heard about the upcoming movie to be released on October, 'Love, Rosie'. First of all, I was immediately hooked because one of my favorite actresses will portray Rosie Dunne (Lily Collins).
Anyways, two weeks ago, a friend of mine told me to read the book the movie was based on. And since I didn't really have anything to read at that time, I started reading it.
...And thank god I did so! Love, Rosie was such a worth it read. Even though, it had almost 2000 pages on iBooks, I wanted more. It's idea of a bubbly relationship between two best friends also caught my attention. Yes, I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers kind of stories. I truly enjoyed being with Rosie and Alex in their journey together. Even though bad timing was always there, they were able to beat the odds.
Beware though! There were a number of times where I just broke down while reading this book. How can I not? Rosie's life was like the worst roller coaster imaginable. Also, she had the best ending the was scream-worthy.
Alex and Rosie described this sort of moment where there was actually something as a 'silence'. Rosie didn't have it with Greg, and neither did Alex feel it with Sally or Bethany. The two of them only felt it when it was with each other. And since the book was actually consisted of letters and e-mails Rosie was reading, I think I died at the end where it was narrated that after she read through those letters she collected, she was finally going to see and be with Alex.(See photo above)
Basically, this was a great book. Not really my genre, but look what happened, I ended up loving it.
