Delilah Dusticle and the Cursed Tempest
Delilah Dusticle and the Cursed Tempest - A.J. York

Who would think dust would come in handy? Delilah Dusticle would. While I am ridding my house of this pesky stuff, Delilah is performing incredible magic with her debris. Delilah thought that she was having very vivid dreams until Dev arrived and informed Delilah that her dreams were actually visions.   Delilah is the chosen one, the one that would save Dev’s sister Kirin, from her adductors. Armed with her friends, Delilah travels to India to obtain information about the abduction and to plan her next steps.   Dev was not totally honest with Delilah when she asked her to find Kirin and now that Delilah has committed to the case, she is beginning to see how complicated this abduction really is. As Delilah and her team return to her room, they discover that someone has paid them a visit. Her room is a disgrace, more messy than normal, if you can believe that from a woman that enjoys dust. It’s a fun, magical adventure as Delilah tries to save Kirin.

I enjoy reading Delilah’s adventures, as I never know what type of predicament she will find herself in and how she will solve it.   I enjoy her nonhuman characters which supplement her stories as I find them imaginative and quirky. They add a fun and entertaining element to the stories. Delilah is a character with determination and wit. She is one who is determined to help out when asked even if she has no idea what she is walking into. The story was entertaining, humorous and creative.

I received a copy of this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Delilah Dusticle's Transylvanian Adventure - A.J. York

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review

This was a great sequel. I actually liked this more than the first story because there is a lot of action that will appeal to kids ages 6-10 years old. If you're a little older, you might find how the story unfolds is a little too convenient, but it's meant for younger kids, and they won't mind. This book has lovable characters, an action-packed story and overall I thought it was really cute.

This was a very cute short story, perfect for kids ages 5-10 years old. I'm a bit older than the intended age group, so hence the 3 star rating, but I'm sure if I was a kid, I would have loved this. It has a good moral of friendship, plus Delilah's special power was very cool.

Looking forward to reading the sequel!

Delilah Dusticle's Transylvanian Adventure by A.J. York
Delilah Dusticle's Transylvanian Adventure - A.J. York

The second book of Delilah Dusticle's series.  Characters galore mixed with humorous, charm a fun fantastic fiction for children.  That is a mouth full, don't you think?  I found the magic quite fun sprinkled through Transylvania.  The adventure of imagination will pull at your inner child.  I found myself giggling here and there, well actually more like laughing.  Delilah spat out dust, people thoughts she was unusual.  Her special ability to eradicate dust, when she is said the opposite happens.  She would shower the area grey with what you asked?  Daydreaming about her boyfriend makes the vacuum blankets the ground silvery grey.  Dustbuster was created after she befriended her ex-boyfriend's girlfriend Abi.  What is so quizzical such as the Chihuahua dog with pointy ears and back legs that looks like a toad with a small body tuft of hair with bumpy toad skin.  I had to laugh just imaging the Chihuahua toad.  A figure with a Romanian accent enters the picture, he said, "I'm never quite sure what entrance my guests expect me to make.  Sometimes I glide, and sometimes I leap,"  then he glides and leap.  "I rehearse all the time.  I even have an acting coach, costs a fortune."  There's more to this story, how Delilah discovers her true abilities and the discovery dumbfounds her.   So if you need a delightful story to read to a child, I know the book indicated for middle school aged children but a youngster will be intrigued by it because I was :D  A wonderful tale to read, keep you entertained for sure! Thank you A.J. York I won this book on BookLikes, yeah!!!!   P.S. Sorry I took so long to review this book.
