What are your favorite colors?
Big Red Barn - Margaret Wise Brown,Felic... Big Red Barn - Margaret Wise Brown,Felicia Bond

This is a wonderful book to read to kindergarten to introduce the colors of the rainbow and all different types of farm animals. I would have the students predict what colors they think they will see throughout the book, as well as, all of the animals that might be introduced. This book will leave the students imagining all of the colors and animals that the world has. It is a great book for imagination.

Charlotte's Web review
Charlotte's Web - E.B. White,Garth Williams,Rosemary Wells

Charlotte's Web is a wonderful classic Children's literature book. This story is all about an unlikely friendship between a pig and a spider. It teaches the importance of friendship, loyalty, and acceptance. I would use this book in my class library in grades 3-6. I would teach different vocabulary words from the text including "humble" and "radiant". I would also use this text to show that differences is sometimes what makes friendship so special and also how to cope with the death of a loved one. The guided reading level is R and the Lexile level is 680L.

Faberge's Animals: A Royal Farm in Miniature - Caroline de Guitaut

I love the Faberge animals more than the eggs. This little, short book is a guide to the animals in the English Royal Collection, including those that were commissioned portraits of the royals actual animals. (A suggestion made, perhaps, by the mistress of Edward VII). Nice little book. If you like Faberge, you should check it out.

Farm Animals
Farm Animals - Dawn Sirett These books are so well made and full of different types of textures for your baby to touch. My baby girl is just over 3 months old and she loves this book! She hasn't long learned how to touch and grab but she holds onto this book for dear life! It's a really nice compact book so it doesn't take up much room if you need to take it with you for your little one. The corners are nice and smooth and so there are no concerns when your baby is waving her hands around at it. One of my favourite textures is the sticky mud puddle...when first going through the book I was so surprised it was so sticky! Very clever!
Your baby can learn about all different types of farm animals, like woolly sheep and soft, fluffy sheep dogs. I enjoy reading this to my baby and it keeps her interest for ages, I'd recommend this for all little bubbas who love books.

Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary
Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary - Maya Gottfried,Robert Rahway Zakanitch I liked some of the poems, but I didn't really like the illustrations. Some of the pictures were nice, but overall it had an unfinished feel.
