Forbidden Surrender
Forbidden Surrender - Carole Mortimer Sara Hamille has just arrived in England which is her birthplace. Sara was raised in the US but now staying with her Aunt and Uncle after her parents death a few months ago. Sara keeps finding that people think she is someone else. So she ends up finding out she has a twin sister she didn't know about and that her sister is engaged. Dominic Thorne is engaged with her twin sister but she and him keep having a headed attraction that they are having a hard time fighting. We find that there is a secret that they are not telling Sara and this causes an upset when she does find out. I gave it the three stars as I didn't get into Dominic character at all.

Forbidden Surrender
Forbidden Surrender - Priscilla West I liked this book, but I was incredibly frustrated with Kristen. I don't know how she could resist Vincent for so long, maybe I am bad, but I just wanted her to give in to him so bad. If a billionaire wanted me, took me on a private plane on a date and did all the things he did, no way could I keep it together as long as she did.

FORBIDDEN SURRENDER BY: PRISCILLA WEST
Forbidden Surrender - Priscilla West

I'm not sure where I stand after reading this book. I wasn't in love with it, nor did I hate it. I was somewhere sitting comfortably in the middle I suppose. Honestly, this is a story line that I feel like I have read a bunch of times now....billionaire bad boy who is the epitome of hotness falls nearly instantly for the straight-laced, pretty average girl with the heart of gold, and lest us not forget the kind of slutty best friend of hers and the stalker/ex that is out to get her, which the billionaire ends up coming to the rescue. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad story line, but please give me a little something new. Just a little something different to the table. The only thing I can say that was different is that the leading lady, Kristen, wasn't as whiney as the typical girl in the story. Although, even with those brownie points, she still feel short for me. The whole should I or shouldn't I struggle gets tired after awhile.

I probably would have given this book a 3 star rating if not for the awkward placing of the ending. What happened?! Just as soon as I finally felt like the story was coming to life, BAM it's over. It didn't even make sense. Was this supposed to be a novella? It didn't feel right at all. I wasn't expecting it to end there at all. I think it's cheap to cut a story off just when it's finally going somewhere just to get the reader to buy the second book to have a full story.

I suppose I would give the second book a try, just to see how the story progresses from here, if only because I have read some of Priscilla West's other work and enjoyed it, but I won't be running out the door to get it at this point.

I received a copy of this book from Priscilla West via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

4 stars
Edition: E-book

Kristen Is In South Africa with her best friend Riley, Trying to Convince Hot surfer dude turned billionaire Vincent Sorenson to trust her company with his money.
Pretty hot story line right their Account Manager meets the hot rich CEO?!?!?!

This book is spicy with some extra cayenne pepper! Not my typical kind of read I would classify this as a New Adult Erotic Romance. It was a little vivid for my taste. If you are wondering yes there is a pretty good story line that kept me totally intrigued. And ONE HUGE CLIFFHANGER. So yes even though this isn't my usual genre I will read the next book So I know what happens with a certain someone who shows up in this book.

Forbidden Surrender - Priscilla West ***ARC received in exchange of an honest review***

3,5 stars

Forbidden Surrender is the first book in the "Surrender" series, where the author introduces you to Kristen Daly, a woman who's living for her career as an analyst in a wealth management firm. She's working with her boss Richard who's a workaholic ( and a dick ). Then she meet in South Africa a potential client, Vincent Sorenson, a young and hot surfer who's also a CEO. She wants him (especially since she hasn't been with anyone in two years) but she deny it for a little while (unfortunately) with her excuse about losing her job and her reputation.

After that, he will pursuits her to have her in his bed, but apparently it is more than just sex. We aren't talking about feelings just yet (it would be too soon) but maybe it will come to that in the second or third book.

It was nice but I think the best part in that book was when those nipple piercings were involved ;).
I hope there will be more actions in the next one with that ex-boyfriend of her, and of course some more steamy scenes with Vincent. I want to feel more chemistry between them!
