"Dangerous Bonds" by Shani Greene-Dowdell

My Thoughts.....

This was quite a interesting read that this author presents as we are presented with Channing and Kemara that dealt with 'race and love.' Being presented with racism and the way it was showed in this read was really something as we see how these two will work it all out.  How will Kemara be able to take this all in after she finds out about Channing's background?  I liked would this character was able to know just what was right and wrong.  This story really shows that even though one may be born to a racist family there can be a change if it is desired.  Will these two be able to 'look deep within themselves and find love?'  This story really shows that even in our world today 'hate and bigotry' still can be found.  In the end will love trump hate?  Well, to find out about this story you will have to pick up this very good read of  'Dangerous Bonds' to see how well this author gives the reader a very well written story of just what happened in such a situation as it was was Channing and Kemara.

"You Captured My Heart" by Shani Greene-Dowell

My Thoughts...

What a beautiful love story that dealt with Vicki Jae Rutherford and Mayor Garrett. Who would have thought these two would every catch each others attention with them being so very opposite of each other.  I enjoyed how this author was able to  give us a relationship that from one helping  the other changes started and it was all for the better especially for one of the characters who had been a spoiled rich guy who had no respect for women.  It all starts where one will ask for help and my goodness could he be tamed from that 'bad boy image? I loved how Mayor had to work to earn the love and respect from that special person that had seem to have always had his attention.   From all of this we get a sweet love story that Vicki Jae never thought she would get especially after the way that 'Timothy Beck' had treated her earlier. Will things come together and we get a  HEA?  Well, to see how this will all come out you will have to pick up this good read to see if Vicki Jae will be able to tame Major Garrett.  In the end will Major capture Vicki Jae's  heart?

My Thoughts....

I liked the ending to this third series featuring Ronan and Ruby as they were truly trying to rebuild their marriage especially Ronan. Naturally there was temptation for Ruby that would have to be worked out from all of the attention she was getting from Daryl.  But I will say that guy Daryl had some nerve in going in for what he wanted which put Ruby front and center in finally letting go and really getting who she wanted.

As the story continued on I was caused to wonder about another character and that was Mark and his assistant. I really didn't like how that was left with the reader to wonder long and hard about that situation. Did his wife Serenity really have a reason to wonder about the assistant. YES!  Oh well, maybe that's for another story along with Emerald and Shauntay also getting their stories told.

I will say this was a well written story of a true love bond between Ronan and Ruby.  So happy to see them finally getting their HEA.
