A Wicked Snow - Gregg Olsen
A Wicked Snow - Gregg Olsen
I am really starting to enjoy this author! His stories are right up my alley. I love a murder mystery, real or fictional. It's my ideal book!
This story did not disappoint!!!!
There was a huge mystery surrounding this investigator and her mother. Her mother disappeared and the circumstances shrouding it were unlike anything I have heard of. It was a wild read! It was twisted, dark, slightly graphic and horrifying at times, but a great story!
I could even see a next book for this one. One that might give us more insight in to Hannah. Especially given the information she knows now.
I definitely look forward to reading more from this author and highly recommend his stories to anyone looking for a thrill!

If You Tell by Gregg Olsen
If You Tell - Gregg Olsen

I received a complimentary Kindle copy of If You Tell by Gregg Olsen in an Amazon promotion. It is a horrifying true-crime story.

That did not change my opinion for this review. I gave this book four stars.

"For years, behind the closed doors of their farmhouse in Raymond, Washington, their sadistic mother, Shelly, subjected her girls to unimaginable abuse, degradation, torture, and psychic terrors."

No matter what you see, no matter what you’ve heard, assume nothing.

Adam and Sophie Warner and their three-year-old daughter are vacationing in Washington State’s Hood Canal for Memorial Day weekend. It’s the perfect getaway to unplug—and to calm an uneasy marriage. But on Adam’s first day out on the water, he sees Sophie abducted by a stranger. A hundred yards from shore, Adam can’t save her. And Sophie disappears.

In a nearby cabin is another couple, Kristen and Connor Moss. Unfortunately, beyond what they’ve heard in the news, they’re in the dark when it comes to Sophie’s disappearance. For Adam, at least there’s comfort in knowing that Mason County detective Lee Husemann is an old friend of his. She’ll do everything she can to help. She must.

But as Adam’s paranoia about his missing wife escalates, Lee puts together the pieces of a puzzle. The lives of the two couples are converging in unpredictable ways, and the picture is unsettling. Lee suspects that not everyone is telling the truth about what they know—or they have yet to reveal all the lies they’ve hidden from the strangers they married

My thoughts: rating: 5
Would I recommend this book:yes
will I read anything else by this author : yes
WOW what they was right when they said No matter what you see, no matter what you’ve heard, assume nothing. Because you have no idea who to truest , who to believe, and what you thought you saw or what anyone else thought they heard or seen, there are twist and turns and once you think you have it figure out something else comes along and knocks it out of the ballpark, the story is gripping and makes you want to just set there and keep turning the pages , just so you can find more pieces of the puzzle, and the ending was a complete shocker to me , wow what an ending , never saw it coming . With that said I wan to thank Netgalley for letting me read and review it exchange for my honest opinion ,and I can't wait to read more by this author .

The Sound of Rain by Gregg Olsen
The Sound of Rain - Gregg Olsen

The Sound of Rain by Gregg Olsen is a compelling, suspense-filled thriller. I read it in one sitting. I gave it five stars because it kept me guessing. It was challenging to read because it is about the murder of a three-year-old but it was well written.

Former homicide detective Nicole Foster was betrayed by her partner and lover. She's obsessed with gambling and solving the murder of the toddler, Kelsey Chase.

I received a complimentary Kindle copy from Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.

The Girl in the Woods (A Waterman & Stark Thriller Book 1) by Gregg Olsen
The Girl in the Woods - Gregg Olsen

The Girl in the Woods (A Waterman & Stark Thriller Book 1) by Gregg Olsen is an intriguing murder mystery that follows the forensic pathologist, Birdy Waterman in a case that encompasses multiple suspects.

It kept me guessing.  Because of that I have it five stars.

Her teenaged nephew, Elan, had arrived without warning to stay with her.  She hope it would help heal her relationship with her sister, Summer, with whom she did not interact.  She had seen what real family discord could do & was grateful that hers was just a war of words, or lack thereof.

"Kendall Stark was a homicide detective Birdy liked working with more than the investigators in her unit in the sheriff's office. "

I received a complimentary Kindle copy from Amazon.  That did not change my opinion for this review.
