A Marriage of Rogues - Margaret Moore

I don't know that I'd call the two of them rogues, mildly roguish maybe but overall fun characters.  When her fathers loses everything including her dowry to him she decides to confront him and make him marry her. He goes along with her and realises that what he thought at first was a business deal isn't.

I liked her, liked the characters and they behaved true to themselves and I want to read more by this author.

Anthology - "The Brides of Christmas"
The Brides of Christmas - Jo Beverley,Deborah Simmons,Margaret Moore

4 stars for Jo Beverley's charming story. 3 stars for Deborah Simmons' story, which has very good characterization but at least one glaring anachronism - a married woman or widow in medieval times never ever wore her hair unbound and head uncovered in public! (Long hair would be bound in braids during the day for purely practical reasons even if there weren't religious and social proscriptions against it being uncovered.)

Highland Rogue, London Miss (Mills & Boon Historical)
Highland Rogue, London Miss (Mills & Boon Historical) - Margaret Moore Quintus MacLachlann is a man of many talents, he had to learn to survive when he was disowned by his family. His friend Jamie McCallan convinces him to bring Esme MacCallan to Edinburgh to investigate what is going on with his ex-fiance's family. His ex, Catriona McNare is convinced that her father is in financial difficulties but not telling her. Now the story was pretty good, I found it quite entertaining, however there was no sense of location, Edinburgh is a complex and interesting city with a myriad of little alleyways and geography that would bend your brain, but there was no sense of that. It just didn't sing to me. I did like the characters and Esme is a great fun read. Also, however, it was very irresponsible of her brother to send her to Edinburgh with a male, with whom she isn't related. Someone like that in that period wouldn't have even considered it. Good but left me with niggles.
