REVIEW BY HELEN - Three Day Fiancée (Animal Attraction #2) by Marissa Clarke
Three Day Fiancée (Animal Attraction #2) - Marissa Clarke

Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his one-hundred and fifty pound slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything-especially a woman. If only there were a way to get Grams to back down.

The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her CPA exam—steady, scheduled, and requiring very little human interaction; a huge seller since she’s still on the mend from a toxic relationship. Men suck. Especially her bossy hot client with the Saint Bernard that thinks it’s a lap dog. No way will she go for his plan to pretend they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case. Down, boy.

Offered a bargain she can’t refuse, Caitlin finds herself playing the part of fiancée to Taylor. Fortunately, it’s only for three days. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive a fierce game of truth or dare with an unscrupulous pair of octogenarians, endure a one-on-one round of Twister with Taylor, and not lose her heart to a guy who turns out to be a lot more than she’d bargained for.

DEAR JANE by Marissa Clarke
Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1) - Marissa Clarke
Cute story. Jane is a mistake waiting to happen when it comes to dating. Eric is a fellow attorney who works at her family's law firm. She has him set her up for dates then debriefs with him. She is funny as she tells her stories. Both are attracted to the other but because of the non-fraternization clause in their contracts they cannot act upon the attraction. Chaos ensues as Jane continues her dates.

They are a cute couple. Jane's dream job is not the law nor is it beyond her reach. Her family should have supported her youthful dreams. Jane's dating stories are funny. The ending was different. I am surprised that Eric did not lose out on Jane.

I look forward to more in this series.

Cute little romance
Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1) - Marissa Clarke

Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1) - Marissa Clarke

(It was more like *3.75 STARS* but I rounded up to 4.)

DEAR JANE is a fun romantic comedy about two people who can't seem to get out of their own way enough to be happy but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Jane Dixon hasn't been on a second date in two years. She feels that she's doomed to be alone but when her work colleague drops of flowers from yet another guy who doesn't want to see her again, she think things may just be looking up.

Eric Blackwell has been planning for this moment for years. He's just six weeks away from being promoted to Junior Partner at the prestigious law firm he work for, and he just needs everything to fly under the radar until then. So why is he offering to help get a date for Jane Dixon, the woman he's had a crush for the last two years and the daughter of his boss?

Well, maybe he can get her set up with one of his friends and then he can stop thinking about her or wanting to be with her. He knows that impossible because not only does the law firm have a strict non-fraternization policy, but Jane doesn't date lawyers. Of course, fate has other plans.

How cute was this? Jane and Eric were utterly adorable. They were both awkward and perfect for each other. The banter between them was fantastic and really just made the story fly by.

What I wasn't expecting was Eric undressed, so to speak. When he and Jane gave into their attraction to each other, he turned into this whole other man. Very hot, very determined and very skilled in bed. YUM!

My only complaint about DEAR JANE was that it was too short. It's the first book in the Animal Attraction series and I don't think that the book set up the rest of the series enough. We didn't get to meet the other women that the subsequent stories will be centered around and only heard about them in a passing way. I would have liked more there.

But, other than that. I felt like DEAR JANE was a hit. A fun contemporary romance that was easy and enjoyable to read. This is my first time reading something by Marissa Clarke and definitely won't be my last. I found out in the acknowledgments that DEAR JANE and the Animal Attraction series is a spin-off of another series, and I think I will check that out as well.

Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1)
Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1) - Marissa Clarke Ms. Clarke and her hilariously dangerous, yet endearing couple are a joy. Jane is a one woman tornado. Her love life is a testament to the disasters that are her constant shadow. The appeal of Dear Jane is that despite the odds and the accidents, love found a way. Eric found a way around Jane's imperfections and saw the beauty that hid within her soul. Thanks to Eric and Jane, Marissa Clarke delivered a beautiful message of empowerment while supplying laughs and touching hearts. Dear Jane is a short, sweet, irresistible treat.

Chance of a Lifetime - Marissa Clarke

This is my first time reading Marissa Clarke's work, and it will not be my last. This book came on my radar as it is a story about friends becoming lovers. I am a huge fan of these types of stories, as such I could not pass up the chance to read and review this title.

Chance of a Lifetime is the third book in the Anderson Brothers series, and can be read as a stand-alone. It's a story of courage, love and freedom. In this installment, readers are given insight into Chance Anderson's life and that of the woman he has loved his whole life.

Chance first met Gen Richards when he was eight years old, and she was five. Since that time they were inseparable. Chance made her special while everyone else treated her as if she was helpless. However, while in their teens an unfortunate accident occurred and Chance was banned from Gen's life. Her family considered him to be a bad influence.

Gen Richards is not your typical romance heroine. She has been blind all her life. Her family treated her like a handicap. However, Chance helped her to look beyond her blindness. As a result, she was able to see that she was capable of doing anything she puts her mind to. Gen was not aware that her parents had banned Chance from seeing her after the accident. She believed that he had abandoned her, and for years she resented him.

Ten years later Gen, after witnessing the death of her co-worker via a freak accident, decided she was tired of playing it safe. As a result, she decided to resurrect her high school bucket list. Little did she know that her decision to complete the items on her bucket list would lead to Chance re-entering her life.

It was a pleasure meeting the characters. Gen was amazing. Initially, she sacrificed her freedom to please her family, but the she realises that she was not living. I loved how she stood up to them and in the process gained her freedom to live her life as she sees fit. She is the epitome of strength, self-reliance and courage.

Chance is such a sweetheart. His feelings for Gen are genuine. He loved her so much, that he was willing to stay out of her life if it meant that she would finally stand up for herself. He knew that for them to be together she had to be willing to fight for her freedom.

The romance was entertaining, sweet and delightful. Gen and Chance brought out the best in each other. I thought they made a perfect fit. I loved the way they interacted with each other. The story was well written. I was pulled in from the moment I began reading. I liked that the misunderstanding of ten years ago, that led to them to being out of each other's life, was resolved.

Chance of a Lifetime was a satisfying read. I will definitely be looking to read the other books in the series. This is a must-read for fans of contemporary romance.
