Vampires Gone Wild
Vampires Gone Wild (Supernatural Underground) - Amanda Arista, Kim Falconer, Pamela Palmer,Kerrelyn Sparks

V is for VampWoman 2*
Pam wants to try and help fight the Malcontents. In the past, she has been afraid and cowardly.
Now she wants to change that. Mikhail has secretly admired Pam from afar (but thought she was vain/selfish, etc).
I used to really like this series. But as it has gone on (and on), I've just lost interest. This series was one of the first paranormals I read, so it will always have a special place in my heart. There are other series that I've liked more. I found myself not really caring.

A Forever Love 3*
Elizabeth meet Lucas and they dated. Always seeing him at night, waking up in the morning and he would be gone. Then he just disappears. Fast forward 2 years. She has dated, but no one (of course!!!!) can compare to Lucas. There are people disappearing randomly in the DC area. Elizabeth becomes one of them.
This was interesting with the alternative DC that parallels the real one. It turns out, this was made for vampires and the magic is failing. This has lead to the vampires who where there being trapped there; when the magic failed, which included Lucas. This is also why random people are disappearing. Not much of the plot is spent elaborating on this. What the fuck is up with that ending?! I deducted for that ending.

First Dates Are Hell 3.5*
Could tell this one was part of a series (I've read book 1 and decided to not read the other 2). There was definitely a history between Val (Valiance) and Violet. Val meets Esme while buying sheets. It turns out Esme is fae and most people don't see her/overlook her. She doesn't know she is fae and handled it well. Interesting first date, well paced, lots of action.

Blood and Water 3*
This started out very interesting. Interesting concept- mermen/mermaids, but need blood to be able to walk on land. Takes place in San Francisco, right before the earthquake in 1906. Decent build-up and pacing, but I would have liked more information (Stellan is very interested in the Golden Gate Bridge). It started out well, but I thought it was rushed and thus fizzled at the end.

Desire Untamed
Desire Untamed - Pamela Palmer

I'm torn on my rating for this one, so I settled on the rating after I wrote this.
Kara was raised human. She is the Feral Warrior's Radiant, unbeknownst to her. Lyon (yes, that's his name and it is a literal name too) has "finding" ability and is the one tasked to hunt her down. So, he kidnaps her, from the only home she's known, and takes her to the Warriors home. This will come as a huge surprise: they are both hot for each other. I know, I was so surprised too!
Fun fact time! Lyon heals injuries........with his tongue. Here's a another fun fact: A lick magically heals.......and causes orgasms. At inappropriate times. Sometimes with an audience.
I didn't like how Lyon kidnapped Kara. He didn't tell her what she needed to know. Any choice was taken away from her. I didn't like the Pairing (it's capitalized in the book)- again choice taken away and put in the hands of something mystical (and therefore always right). Any power Kara had was taken away, she was treated as property.
There are (only) 2 other main (being generous) female characters in this book. One, Pink, is a servant who cooks and cleans for the 9 grown men. The other, who is nameless because I don't want to be too spoilery, existed for competition, to be a bitch, and was the (powerful) villain.
And what is up with the names? We are talking Kougar, Wulfe, Paenther, Tighe, Vhyper. Jag, Lyon, and Foxx aren't bad compared to these. (IMO). Then there is the Daemons and Satanan (evil ones).
Despite it all, I kept reading. I waffled between a 1 or 2 stars. So, this is 1.5*
The rest of this series? Hell nope!

Desire Untamed - Pamela Palmer

I am pretty sure that both characters at some point got fucked back to life after they died. Some people say they would be happy to go during sex. These guys will never experience that end. This takes the whole sex being good for health to a whole new level.

Finished: Desire Untamed — What the hell?
Desire Untamed - Pamela Palmer

There is so much of this book that doesn't work for me. I've never been into shifters so this is my first shifter book. Honestly, I don't know how I ended up picking it up at the library book sale. Maybe I blacked out from book ecstasy. I can't say I like it any better and will seek out such books now, but maybe I won't dismiss them out of hand.

The mythology is freaking dumb. Not all of it, but some it really is. Seriously. They call each other weirdly spelled versions of their animal names. They live in "Feral House". Most of all, it seems most of their rituals are conveniently revolve around sex, which you all know is just not a draw for me.

Instalove. The book takes place over two or three days!!

And something that drives me nuts every time I read a version of it: the hero calls the heroine "little one". That is so creepy. I never understand why authors have their heroes infantilize the heroine like that. Am I supposed to be comfortable with them having sex? Blech.

However, there was something about this book that I really liked. I had to pry myself away from it. I really can't explain what it was that got me hooked and wouldn't let go. I wish I could. All I know is that I'm definitely continuing with the series.

Desire Untamed
Desire Untamed - Pamela Palmer Yeah.. Um. I kinda stumbled on this book. It was recommended to me from GR because of some of the other books I have read and let me tell you I am not a fan of this book at all. I think the story could have been pretty good if they got rid of all the weird rituals and the ridiculous sex stuff. The scene with Lyon getting her ready for the first ritual was just bad. One, the chick JUST met the guy and here he is rubbing oil on your womb (yes thats what he says). OKAY and the girl freaking had an orgasm everytime he kissed her. wtf was that about? I mean she had multiples just by kissing. Give me a freaking break. HAHA oh and I forgot about the first one that was done by him just licking her hand. Good god she doesn't need a mate all she has to do is walk into a crowded room and accidentally bump up against someone and it would set her off.

The book was a complete train wreck. . I could not stop reading.. I had to see where it went. And it went no where good.
