REVIEW BY MERISSA - Tanner (Romance & Revolutions #1) by Shaw Montgomery
Tanner (Romance & Revolutions #1) - Shaw Montgomery

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it takes us along with Tanner and Shane. I loved how it was acknowledged that things had moved along too far in one direction, which wasn't benefitting anyone.

Tanner and Shane are such a cute couple. I loved how open-minded Shane was and even able to put his own little twist to things. Plus, his relationships with the other omegas was just a joy to read.

A brilliant introduction to this world and I really want to read more! Absolutely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Detective story in outer space – this one is closer to home for Klem
The Fuse Volume 4: Constant Orbital Revo... The Fuse Volume 4: Constant Orbital Revolutions - Antony Johnston

This time Klem and Ralph are investigating a murder on the Fuse (a colony out in space) with terrorist implications. This case involves Klem's son, the Deputy Mayor, at a time when she plans to retire to Mars. Family plays a large part in this story and it is exciting and interesting to read

Just like any detective story, there is a lot of action and some clever deductions. Bloodshed and death ensue and all the mysteries are cleared up. Given that each volume is a mostly independent story, there's no reason why there should not be a Volume 5. Recommended to any one who likes a detective story.

Revolutions by Mercedes Lackey
Revolutions (The Secret World Chronicle, #6) - Mercedes Lackey,Dennis Lee,Cody Martin

A part of the Secret World series, this is the third novel that I have read in the series. Take superheroes from around the world, toss in Nazis from outer space and you have a great concept.

Told as a series of interconnected short stories from Ms Lackey and other writers, the stories flow so seamlessly that it seems like you are reading just one story from start to finish.

With the rise of the comic book movies and shows it is great to see books with superheroes in them. They are good, bad, rich, poor, famous, villainous and they all seem very real. Ms Lackey has brought together great writers who give us characters that are so three dimensional that you find yourself pulling for them. From Red Savior, the Russian/CCCP hero leader to Red Djinn, a one time bad guy you find that many different types come together to try and save the world from the invasion started two books ago.

We lose characters, sometimes just as we come to know them in ways both heroic and disturbing. If you hate seeing a good character die, well you won't want to read this, but if you understand that when dealing with bad situations and heroes that death can and will happen, well then dive in. Pick up all the books and short stories. This is one rollicking ride.

Thanks to Bettie and the BBC
French Revolutions - Tim Moore,Andrew Wincott

Honestly, if you are thinking of reading this book about one British man's attempt to do the 2000 Tour de France route, get the audio.  It's so funny.  Just kept laughing so hard.  Hear about Mars bars, mountains, and ass cream!

Listen in amazement as he recounts the struggle of putting the bike together.

Shake your head as he tries to find drug aid!

And there is a bunch of Tour de France history as well (Note, though, this was written before Armstrong's confession).
