I was excited to read Nalini Singh’s Rock Addiction since it is a contemporary romance novel that involves some very HOT rock stars. In fact, Rock Addiction is the first book in the series and I couldn’t wait to dive into it. I have been sucked into the world of Nalini’s Guild Hunters, so I was ready to be sucked into her Rock Kiss series.
Nalini has a way of winning over a reader with her male characters and it was no different with Rock Addiction. I fell immediately for Fox because of his intensity of trying to win over a very sweet librarian. That sweet librarian didn’t make it easy for the sexy Fox because she didn’t want to be put in the spotlight. She had a rough past in being in the spotlight thanks to what happened with her father/mother situation. She didn’t even think Fox had her on his radar since she is not his normal girl to go for. Fox though was intrigued by Molly Webster the minute he spotted her. He wants the one-night they had to turn into something more, but Molly is not up for it. They negotiate into a one-month fling, but Fox knows he’ll want more. He has to win over Molly and let her know she means more then a month for him.
Rock Addiction had me sucked in from the beginning, especially with how Fox surprised Molly in the elevator. Let’s just say Nalini had the book smoking hot from the first chapter to the last. Of course there were some issues I had, mostly with Molly. The girl was set on being with Fox for one month and that’s it. (Shaking my head at Molly…you best believe I would go for more) She kept trying to hide their relationship, but Fox being a rock star, it was kind of hard to keep it hidden for so long. I understood why Molly was the way she was, but she definitely couldn’t hold it against Fox.
Fox’s character was complete opposite of Molly with his alpha like bad boy status, but he had a way of changing with Molly around. How in the heck Molly could resist Fox, especially once she got to experience him in the bedroom…I have no friggin’ clue! The man had skills. I adored every bit of Fox.
I look forward to reading the rest of the rock stars books after reading Rock Addiction. Nalini introduces each of the characters with their personalities and what’s to come, but she has the readers begging for more. She at least did for me. ***I’m interested in David’s story. =)
I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to readers that enjoy rock star Contemporary Romance novels. Rock Addiction is much different from Nalini’s other two series, but she still gives us some very addictive, sexy male characters to drool over. =)
I received a complimentary copy of the book from RockStarPR Lit (via the author) in exchange for an honest review.
