Review:
"A Grosvenor Square Christmas" by four historical romance authors that give the reader a good holiday read. All for novellas will occur during four different sweet anthology Christmas parties hosted by 'Lady Winterson.' I enjoyed Lady Lucy Frost, Countess of Winterson and the butler Philbert...with mistletoe given to four couples who will find their 'happy ever after' in these lighthearted and endearing novellas.
My favorite novella was Shana Galen's Seduction of a Duchess where the 'older woman/younger man romance.' All of the reads were very intriguing, sweet, some were even humorous reads that will give you a fun read during the Christmas season. If you are looking for a collection of short novellas from some terrific authors I would recommend "A Grosvenor Square Christmas" for you as a wonderful read.
This one was quite interesting. They were married before and had a child. Their marriage was a fairly loveless one with Winn spending a good deal of time away. This was one of the most angsty and heartwrenching couples I have come across recently. Their journey towards a reunion was quite remarkable. It wasn't easy but getting there was quite interesting.
I really liked this one. I enjoyed the angst. I always do. But I find that a good angsty romance is better when the hero and heroine have an intense connection--not just a huge pile of angsty, emotastic emotions based on nothing but tears and whimpers-- and Elinor and Winn did. I also enjoyed the mystery and spy plots. They kept me interested and were very well done. I don't know if this one is going on my favorites list but it was definitely a great read and I am looking forward to the next one in the series.
With my Siege & Storm order having arrived this week, a few more books came as well — so at least when my Grisha obsessions dies a little (yeah right), there are other stories for me to check out… along with my other ninety million owned-but-unread books.
