3 Star Review
Taming the Beast - Evangeline Anderson

After her parents' deaths Gisella is on her way to a convent, but her greedy uncle has deviant plans for her. He sells her to a life of prostitution where Gisella must quickly act on her feet and find a way to repay the debt her uncle owes the establishment she was sold to.

When she's sent to a client's home she quickly discovers she might not make it back alive as her predecessor's bones tell a bleak tale. Gisella learns her client turns into a beast and it's up to her to tame the beast and save her life. In this rendition of a dark fairy tale filled with lust and desire, it's up to a virgin to tame a beast.

good book
Taming the Beast (The Fairy Tales of New York Series Book 3) - Lucy King

Mercy had a crush on her best friend’s older brother Seb  in the past. They did have a one night stand but now Mercy can’t stand Seb as she feels he is not a good brother to her best friend and is very manipulative. Seb feels guilty over the accident that took his parents. When Mercy comes into his life again he is bewildered but one thing is very true the attraction is still there.

I like this story, especially the characters. You kinda felt a love/hate thing for Seb for the way he handled things, but Mercy forces him to come back to life although this was a bit rushed. I did enjoy it though. I recommend.

**I got an ARC of this story for an honest review

Taming the Beast
Taming the Beast - Lucy King Taming the Beast - Lucy King Have always loved the story of Beauty and the Beast. Lucy King gives it a modern day spin in Taming the Beast. A broken man, a determined woman. Seb has closed himself off emotionally. Having experienced the pain of loss he doesn't want to go through that again. Mercy finds Seb intriguing and frustrating. As Seb and Mercy journey through guilt, pain, misunderstandings and prejudgments they start to gain a better understanding of one another. My favorite book of this series so far. I received an ARC of Taming the Beast by Lucy King for an honest review.

Taming the Beast
Taming the Beast - Lucy King Taming the Beast - Lucy King Seb and Mercy's story is truly Beauty and the Beast like. Seb is cold, unfeeling, ruthless. He lives with his demons, isolating himself from everyone including his only living family, his sister Zel. But the only person that gets under his skin, in spite of him being a horrible beast to her is Mercy, Zel's best friend.

Mercy is the complete opposite of Seb, passionate about everything; her family's winery, her friends and even her feelings for Seb. But now she has had enough of his icy attitude towards Zel. So when she goes to confront him about Zel she is surprised to find that what she once thought was ploy to get her off his case was actually feelings that he had suppressed, tried to bury deep down so she could escape the disaster that was Seb.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Review - Freeing the Beast by Tina Donahue (Taming the Beast #1)
Freeing the Beast (Taming the Beast) - Tina Donahue

My Thoughts - 3 out of 5 Unicorns - I liked it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is pretty, but they made it like she wasn’t a real red head with the hair color and her eyebrows.  While it mildly hints at paranormal, nothing grabs my attention.

This is about 150 pages which I think is considered a novella, but I’m not sure where the cutoff is.  This is an adult only book at there are some very steamy scenes.

I liked this book, but it did not have the action I was hoping would be mixed in.  It is the drama of dating when you have baggage from your past.  I liked Becca and Eric, but I think I found it easier to connect with her friends.  I do sometimes have trouble connecting in the first book in a series, and I think I will definitely read book 2 to see where the series goes and what happens next :)

Tina does a fabulous job in her writing and is an easy read.  This is my first time reading her work, so I will definitely be checking out more in the future of her paranormal work :)

I recommend this book to romance readers who love the drama involved with dating and the baggage they bring with them :)
