Review - Crazy Over You by Wendy Sparrow (Taming the Pack #3)
Crazy Over You (Entangled Select Otherworld) (Taming the Pack) - Wendy Sparrow

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***Received the ebook for an honest review via Netgalley

The cover is hot!!  The only thing that would have made it better was a wolf added to the cover :)

This is the 3rd book in the series :)  Somehow I missed book 2 coming out, so I’m going to have to get that in the future and read it :)  This is a full novel and is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.  You do not have to, but I think if you read the series in order that it will be much more cohesive than doing what I did and skipping book 2.

I wasn’t sure what to think of LeAnn in the beginning, but she reminds me of someone who harshly judges themselves when she shouldn’t.  We all have bad habits, but she is not bad because of them.  Travis is definitely an Alpha, but in the beginning, I really thought he was a jerk for some of his thoughtlessness though unintentional, and he tends to be a control freak but what alpha isn’t.  He definitely redeemed himself.  Plenty of action, mystery, murder, and drama to keep your attention throughout :)

Wendy’s writing is detailed and easy to read.  She made a complex plot with lots of twists and turns and complex and unique characters to go with it.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I recommend this series to book lovers who love wolf shifters and full length novels with lots going on :)

Review - Hollywood Witch Hunter by Valerie Tejeda
Hollywood Witch Hunter - Valerie Tejeda

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is pretty cool and what attracted me to the book initially, and it matches what Iris would look like :)

This is a YA book, and it is the first book by new author, Valerie Tejeda.  I think she did a great job creating a new and unique world that was definitely entertaining to explore.  While it doesn’t say this is a series, the ending suggests that there will be more to come (which I hope does happen because I want to know more!!!)

Iris, Knox, Dex, and Arlo are of course my favorite hunters.  Of course, Iris is spunky and full of life, but she gets her share of garbage from the other hunters because she is the first and only female hunter.  All sorts of action that keeps you fully engaged into the story, twists and turns, mysteries, and so much more.  When it starts you think lines of good and evil are firmly drawn, but are they?  You will have to read to see because I wouldn’t want to ruin your adventure in reading this book.

I can’t wait to see what Valerie magics up next ;)  I recommend this series to YA witch/hunter fans because you will be entertained.

Undying Hunger (Entangled Select Otherworld) (The Enclave Series) - Jessica Lee

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is steamy and sexy and perfect for the book :)

This is the 4th book in the series, but the first book I’ve read in this series and by Jessica Lee.  It is for adults only due to the steamy content.  I will definitely be going back to read the rest of the series because I’m intrigued by all of the characters, and I can tell I missed things in the back stories of them all by starting with book 4.

This book is packed with action, drama, strife, and entertainment.  It is a great read :)  This story focuses on Markus and Alex from their past to their present.  Markus is a typical alpha with his control issues and things he has done in the past, and Alex is fierce but her past is filled with not so nice things happening to her.  I love the good guys vs the bad where action is always being built and plays being made.  I’m definitely an action girl :)

Jessica does a fabulous job creating a complex storyline and characters that grab your attention and keep you entertained.  I can’t wait to check out more of her work especially in this series.

I recommend this story to those who already love the series and to all my vamp lovers out there :)

Review - Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston (Pride #9)
Bite Me - Shelly Laurenston

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review, but I also bought the audiobook

The cover is beautiful with the white tiger though I wish it would have looked more like a hybrid :)

This is the 9th book in the Pride series.  I have read most of the books in this series though before I started reviewing the books I read.

I really love this series!  It always has family drama, fighting, love, conflict, and the good guys win (well kind of good….lol) which is the way I like it.  This is Livy and Victor’s story.  Livy is a strong but scary woman….err honey badger.  Victor is a hybrid, and he is interesting.  I am not one for giving plot details away which makes my reviews hard to write especially when I love the book.  Whether reading the book or listening to the audiobook, you cannot go wrong when it is written by Shelly Laurenston.  She weaves fantastic stories that are complex, and her humor always has me laughing to the point of tears.  I love her style and characters.  I also love that even though each story is unique and features a new couple; she always brings those characters you already love back so you don’t have to miss them :)

I am a huge fan of all of her shifter books.  Time is my only limiting factor :)

I highly recommend this story and series to any shifter lover because you will fall in love with her characters and humor.

Review - The Last True Vampire by Kate Baxter (Last True Vampire #1)
The Last True Vampire (Last True Vampire series) - Kate Baxter

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is awesome of course, but I wished it would have shown his scar to be true to the book :)

This is the first book I have read by Kate Baxter and the first in a new series.  I think she knocked it out of the park.  I loved it!!  She took an old idea (vampires) and made it unique and completely her own.  I will definitely be reading the rest of this series and checking out anything new Kate comes out with.  This is an adult series due to the steamy scenes and violence.

Michael starts out as a grumpy do things my way kind of guy, and even though your heart bled for what he has had to endure….I wanted to slap him in the back of the head like he was DiNozzo from CSI and ask what do you think you are doing.  Claire has this amazing fighting spirit from being in survival mode since she was a kid, and she also has this wonderful caring persona that very few get to see.  This is tons of action, fighting, and drama in this book, and it is unique which I love in a new series.  Vampire, Dhampirs, Berserker Hunters, and so much more :)

I highly recommend this book to vamp lovers who love when an author makes it is new!!!  I need book 2 like now!!
