This was a fun and entertaining collection of short stories. There were some that stood out from the other and some that fell a little short, but over all I really enjoyed it.
A couple of my favorites:
Perilous Windows of Time - although I may be a little biased. I love all of Charlotte Bronte's work and see her come to life in a fun short story was great! Her time traveling was a lot of fun, and her reaction to the present was genuine. Even though it was a short story, there was good development and I just really enjoyed it.
Demon Days - an interesting and fun story about what might happen if a demon got lose at a book fest. I loved the little minions and Abby's attitude through the whole thing. The side characters had a good dose of personality and it was just a great mix of paranormal with a little bit of laughs.
Mindy’s life has changed dramatically over the past 6 months. After moving to Chicago to learn how to defend herself, she’s established herself as no longer a victim, someone that can handle serious situations and can help others. She just wished that Jonah didn’t criticize her so much. Jonah has been crazy about Mindy since the first time he saw her in Austin. He just can’t seem to say the right thing to get her to feel the same about him. During a tense situation, he finally tells her he wants her, and she is determined to show him the feeling is mutual.
This was a really good story. I loved Mindy’s character. She refuses to back down from anything if it means saving someone, especially someone she cares about. She’s also determined to never be weak again. While we didn’t get a good look at her personality in Strange Days, it’s obvious how much she’s gone through and how that’s affected her. Great story and underlying continual series plot. I highly recommend.

I received an ARC of 'Weird Nights' from Rebecca Royce, in exchange for an honest review.
Having recently read 'Strange Nights' I couldn't wait to jump into book 2 of the "Shadow Promised" series, once I started I couldn't stop. I devoured 'Weird Nights' even with the horror theme to the storyline, I was HOOKED! Please read this series in order, so that you get the full impact of the storyine.
Mindy hasn't been the same since the night she encountered her first demon, then attacked by a hellhound. With hair stark white & scars on her face she moves to the same city as Jonah in order to learn to protect herself. Jonah can't keep his cravings for Mindy to himself for much longer, but when a poltergeist starts haunting a neighborhood, they uncover more than is expected.
I loved everything in this, there where a few moments when I jumped, from the characters which I quickly feel in love with, to the storyline, which was fast paced.... throw in the paranormal happenings jumping up every so often & I was HOOKED!! I can't wait to read what Rebecca has in store for the next books in the series.
