Review: Blue Lily, Lily Blue
Blue Lily, Lily Blue - Maggie Stiefvater

I really love the way the series is progressing.

This books has a bit more angst as Blue is worrying over her missing mother and her feelings for Gansey are getting harder to keep at bay.  I love that was there was some growth from Adam who has finally realized what an idiot he has been.  Ronin is...well Ronin.  He's a jerk, but he's a loyal jerk who cares about his friends more than he'd ever admit.  And I love Jesse Dittley and the fact that he nicknamed Blue, 'Ant'!  There are a few more characters in this book, but the main cast of characters does not get lost in the story, which is fantastic writing.

They've made progress in finding the Raven King as well as Maura, but things are getting ever more dangerous for the group.  All-in-all this was a great continuation of the series, and it sets up for the next book beautifully.

The third book in the Raven cycle is just as good as the first two. Blue's mother has disappeared, looking for Blue's biological father, and Blue desperately wants to find her. Her friends try to help her. In the end they find more than they imagined and not all of it good. I like that there's always a proper ending in these books, with some closure but also a continuing story arc.

is this the end?
Blue Lily, Lily Blue - Maggie Stiefvater

Nope, another book in this series. Well it was to be expected with that end.  The troupe find out more about each other and how they are going to work together. All this team care about each other, often is little ways but they care deeply for each other. They all also know and this story reinforces it, that death is possible for anyone and that this is serious business.

It was interesting to see the team building and the characters being more themselves as others accept them.

Looking forward to the next book...
