Dominated (The Enforcers #2) by Maya Banks
Dominated - Maya Banks

Evangeline – a woman who has slipped past his defenses like no one has managed ever before but she is his to protect and in order to do that he has to do the unthinkable and drive her away in this absorbing romance.

Evangeline has no idea what made Drake turn on her in such a shocking manner all she knows is that she will never be the same and readers can’t help but become absorbed in Drake’s world right along with Evangeline as she learns that there is more to his world than she ever imagined. These strong, compelling characters once again hold readers enthralled with the vivid emotions that flows from every page whether its passion, anger, hurt, insecurity, love, devastation or fright, the readers can feel each and every one right along with Evangeline and Drake as their relationship grips readers by the heart in this steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of suspense, turmoil and passion.

The majority of the suspense and drama of this story comes from the relationship itself, as Evangeline and Drake both strive for their heart’s desires but Drake’s past and his present continue to interfere in the bonding process which causes lots of turbulence. The passion throughout the story however continues to scorch readers with some red hot intimate scenes including bdsm and some ménage scenes and there is some adrenaline pumping excitement when betrayals and enemies strike at Drake through Evangeline.

The well written scenes dominate the readers easily and guarantee that they pay attention to every last word as Evangeline and Drake struggle to move past the obstacles in their relationship to achieve their HEA. The gripping emotions that flow from these two characters captured my heart, but this is one of those romances that has you questioning whether the couple would be better off apart, not because either of the characters is underserving but because of the situation and the turmoil which really had me glued to the pages and I can’t wait to read Silas’s story.
