Falling for Her Brother’s Best Friend By Noelle Adams Free!
Falling for her Brother's Best Friend - Noelle Adams

After too many bad decisions in romance, Emma is going on a man-fast. For the next six months, she’s fasting from men. No sex. No dating. No soulful gazes. No fond memories of her first crush. She’s going to spend the time focusing on her career, getting in touch with herself, and helping her two best friends with the launch of their new tea room. No men.

And that includes her brother’s best friend, Noah Hart, who has just returned to their hometown.

She doesn’t want Noah anyway. He might be even hotter than he was before, but he’s not a nice guy anymore. He’s made a fortune by acting ruthless in business, and the last thing he’s looking for is small-town domestic life. He doesn’t even want to be in town again, but a sick grandmother guilted him into it. Then he has nerve to not even recognize Emma when he sees her again. Maybe it’s been seven years, but a decent guy would remember his best friend’s little sister.

Noah is not a decent guy. Anyway, Emma is on a man-fast. And she doesn’t want Noah.

At all.

Fifteen years ago, three girls were thrown together because their brothers were best friends. Now they're all grown up, and their brothers are grown up too. The Tea for Two series tells their stories.

Book Review For: Falling for the Right Brother by by Kerri Carpenter
Falling for the Right Brother (Saved by the Blog) - Kerri Carpenter
Falling for the Right Brother (Saved by the Blog Book 1)Falling for the Right Brother by Kerri Carpenter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Falling for the Right Brother' by by Kerri Carpenter is book One in the "Saved by the Blog" series. This is the story of Cam and Elle with about 225 pages.
Elle has just returned to Bayside, Virginia after going off to College then doing a Tour of Italy. The first person Elle sees is Cam who is Jasper's older brother. Jasper was Elle High School crush and she had done something very embarrassing when she attempted to let him know how she felt. So much so that her dad had encouraged her to leave the small town for a while to start fresh. Cam has come to pick her up at the airport to help her father out. Elle father has cancer but is still try to stay busy working some. Cam is taken back about how much Elle has changed. No longer is she wearing loose jeans and shirt and doesn't appear the 'bookworm' type anymore. Elle has waken feeling in him that no other women has.
This was a sweet romance that I enjoyed and could see myself wanting to read this a second time.
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

Virtual Tour - Falling For The Right Brother

Saved by the blog!

 FALLING FOR THE RIGHT BROTHER
Saved by the Blog #1
Kerri Carpenter
Released June 1, 2017
Harlequin

Saved by the blog!

This just in, fair readers! Chic and stunning, that gorgeous new woman about town is none other than our very own little Ellie—now Elle—Owens. She's a far cry from the frumpy, bookish student we used to know, but then, living in Italy will do that to a girl! Still, this blogger can't forget the infamous video that caused her to leave!

<!--[endif]-->
Apparently Miss Elle has been spotted with yummy contractor Cam Dumont…but we thought her heart belonged to his little brother. Are Cam and Elle a new couple? They were seen cooling their passions in the bay…in April! If this is love, let's hope she's swimming with the right brother. The Bayside Blogger will keep you posted.

As they walked to the truck, Cam reached for her arm, but Elle quickly evaded him. They could not touch. Not in public. Not anywhere.

Cam must have caught on to her mood because instead of opening her door, he kept his hand over the handle. “What gives?”

Nothing gives. I’m anxious to get to work.”

He studied her for another moment, his dark eyes roaming her face, searching for the cause of her behavior. Finally, he backed up, opened the door and watched her slide in. But instead of closing the door, he leaned in, planting one palm on the center console, the other on her headrest, boxing her in. With their faces a mere hairsbreadth apart, he said, “Good. Because I would hope that kiss last night didn’t scare you off.”

Turned on beyond belief, Elle couldn’t speak. So she shook her head instead.

Great. Because I plan on doing it again soon.”

Describe yourself in five words or less.

I can do this in just one little word: sparkly!

Can you tell us a little about your book?

The Saved by the Blog series is about a small town on the Chesapeake Bay called Bayside. As small towns tend to do, Bayside is prone to gossip and rumors. They have a gossip blogger called the Bayside Blogger who writes for the local paper and reports every detail on every person in town.

Falling for the Right Brother is the first book in the three-part series. It’s a combination of Sabrina and Gossip Girl, with a little Saved by the Bell thrown in for fun. This is the story of Elle Owens, who was desperately in love with Jasper Dumont when she was growing up in Bayside, Virginia. After an embarrassing incident of professing her love for Jasper was caught on video, Elle hightailed it to Italy. When she returns to Bayside ten years later, it’s Jasper’s older brother Cam who catches Elle’s eye. Unfortunately, all of this happens under the watchful eye of the ubiquitous Bayside Blogger.

Name three things on your desk right now.

Not just right now, but pretty much at all times, I have my phone. I love listening to music while I work, so I either pull up a playlist I made, an album or listen to the radio through an app. I always have water because I’m a water-holic. And I typically have Post-it notes or some kind of paper because I’m constantly making lists (for my real life) and scribbling notes (for my writing life).

If you could have dinner with any three authors (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?

Jill Shalvis, because I’m a total fan girl. I love, love, love her books. Plus, based on her social media and newsletter, I think she’d be really fun to hang with.

Jane Austen, because I adore her books. I also consider her to be the first great chick lit writer and I want to ask her about some of the remakes/homages to her books like Clueless and Bridget Jones’s Diary. I think she would love them.

JK Rowling, because I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and her world-building ability. Also, whenever I’m having a bad writing time, I re-watch the interview she did with Oprah for the millionth time. Her description of depression is so spot-on that it actually helped me deal with my own issues.

Where did the inspiration for this book come from?

I was walking my dog, Harry, one afternoon and the idea for Falling for the Right Brother popped into my head. I could see the town of Bayside, Elle and Cam, everything, so clearly. I remember very distinctly having the thought: This is like Sabrina and Gossip Girl. It was strange because I hadn’t seen either in years. I thought about the story the entire time I was walking Harry and as soon as I got home, I started writing it.

Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?

  1. Join a writer’s group and hang out with like-minded people. Learn the craft, take classes, talk to writers who are in a position you’d like to emulate.

  2. Get friends who are not writers, will never be writers and have nothing to do with the writing world. They will keep you grounded.

  3. Invest in a crock-pot. Trust me on this one. The time you save in the kitchen can translate to many words written.

  4. Exercise!

  5. Learn how to say this incredibly difficult, yet incredibly small word: NO.

  6. Learn how to say YES. Yes, I will finish this book. Yes, I will submit it to publishers and/or agents. Yes, I will enter this contest.

  7. Never. Give. Up.

  8.

Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Falling for her Brother's Best Friend
Falling for her Brother's Best Friend - Noelle Adams I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Noelle Adams is a consistently good read for me. (She also has a really great email newsletter). I was hyped when I saw the opportunity to read and review a copy of this book - the start of a new series. I wasn't disappointed!

I have one little nit to pick, and it's that I would've liked a little more depth in the story. That's kind of a backhanded compliment kind of thing, because it means that I wanted to know more about the characters and their backstories. I'm hoping that will come with the next two books in the series.

This series is set in Blacksburg, Virginia, which is a town in which I spent a LOT of time - so I'm already invested. It gives me all the nostalgia feels.

Let's talk about our Hero and Heroine.

Noah has come back to town after being away for a very long time. Once he was old enough to get outta dodge, he did, and he hardly ever returned. He took jobs that kept him away from home, which means leaving his family and friends behind. He has a sister and a grandmother that he visits, although reluctantly (not because he doesn't love them), and four best friends that he grew up with. Two guys with whom he's super close, and their sisters that kinda came along as part of a package deal.

The three girls have gotten together to open a tea room in the growing college town called "Tea for Two," and opening day is right around the corner. It's the reason Noah is home this time around since he gave them business advice, and he wouldn't miss his sister's success for the world. What he's surprised to hear is that it was Patrick's little sister that wrote the stellar business plan. Emma has changed from his friend's little sister that was a pal (emphasis on little sister) - into a smart, sexy, capable woman.

Emma has been through the wringer over the last couple of years and has decided to go on a man-fast. Of course, this is horrible timing, because it happens to coincide with her long-term crush coming back to town - Noah. Not that anything will happen, because he's still calling her by her childhood nickname and ruffling her hair. Her Man-fast seems safe and sound.

She doesn't want him anyway, right? RIGHT?! Of course not. Emma tries really hard to convince herself of that, but what she doesn't know is that Noah is doing the very same thing. They both resist each other with good intentions. And we all know what happens with good intentions go bad...

Noah and Emma had great chemistry, and the building relationship seemed really organic. I want to know more about all six of the characters, and I can see already where we're headed with the other four. (which is nice) Let's go Noelle! I'm ready!

Four solid stars for Blacksburg, Virginia Tech, and Tea.
