Remembering Our Past Events and Nirvana Azzopardi's Message

f you have ever organised a Festival, you know that a Festival earns only when it is fully established, all the beginings are done for charity. So for the love of , for the love of , for the love of , for the love of , we have decided to included Eden Foundation as the main benefitory of all the entrance fees. My memories recall 1,000s of people, kids and parents loving every bit of the program, screams, laughter, entertainment, but also some last minute mis-haps. At one point, a security guard did not show up, so I had to personally stay a night without a policeman, protecting all the drinks and equipment, spending that night in a car, as a 30-years old woman, patrolling the Gzira open Gardens. Locals who know Gzira at night, at that time, would know what that means. In the middle of the night I was faced with a drunken drug addict who tried to carry away a crate of beer, and had to convince him to let it go.

The PR and Stage Hosting of the Children Festival was done by Nirvana Azzopardi.

Nirvana Ciavola Azzopardi has died in 2013 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.

The 40-year-old mother of two aged 10, and five, was a TV personality when she joined our team. In her 30s, full of life and enthusiasm, I was more than happy to entrust her with the management of the event's PR and with hosting the Stage programs.

We were invited on different Radio and TV shows, working many hours a day marketing the Festival at my home that servered as an office. Getting to know her, was a privilege and an extraordinary experience!

Sharing with you all this  and  Nirvana's Last Message:

Having cancer doesn't come with many perks. However, there are a few. One is the chance to tell people you care about that you love them and are grateful for their presence in your life. Another is the huge learning curve you go through. Being faced with your own mortality gives you perspective, lots of it. It aligns life and sets about creating order in the 'what matters and what doesn't ' department. Yet another perk is that people really listen to you because every word you utter could be your last one, I guess! So I have taken these three advantages and used them to write this letter to all the people who care enough about me to be here today. A letter to thank you and give you some advice. And because these ARE actually my last words, I really hope that you will listen!

The first piece of advice I give you is not to wait till you are sick to tell the people you love that you love them.

Even better than telling them, show them...

made with longer lasting materials

Custom decals can come in any size and shape, based on each particular company's specifics. Whether using them as stickers to hand out at a trade show or county fair, or large custom-shaped car decals to promote a business or even favorite sports team, custom decals can help any business or organization push their marketing message out to a wide audience by letting fans do all the work. Custom decals are available from sign making shops, among other places, and can be purchased in nearly any quantity, whether it is twenty decals or twenty thousand.

Sign making shops are often an ideal location for purchasing custom decals, because they have the latest design software and capabilities, plus the printing and cutting tools to create any shape their customer needs. Custom decals can come in traditional stickers, which are used on a temporary basis, like the ones given to children at a restaurant, or they can be made with longer lasting materials, such as a static-cling material that can be used on car windows. These are more weather resistant and longer lasting, often lasting for several months (or even longer if they are applied inside the car or an office window).

Custom decals can be used in retail establishments, like stores and restaurants. They can be used in food packaging, as price tags, or even to promote specials. There are even custom decals that can be put on vehicles for identification and marketing purposes. Rather than using traditional vehicle wraps, some companies will only cover part of their truck or car with a logo and phone number to advertise their business. Custom decals can also be used at special events, like music festivals, arts festivals, or community festivals and fairs. They can be used as admission badges to beer tents for anyone over 21, they can be handed out to kids because kids love stickers, and they can even be used by companies to promote their brand and turn everyone into a walking billboard during the event.

Best of all, they can be ordered on an as-needed basis. Since these decals can be made in short run quantities, it is possible to order them in smaller quantities, rather than tying up storage space with thousands of unused decals. While there are almost always price breaks available for Tie Clips Manufacturers buying large quantities, most sign making companies have the equipment and capability to do short runs. This is especially important when only a few decals are needed, and buying five thousand or more would be a complete waste of money. When looking for custom decals, be sure to consult with your local sign store. They can provide the best advice on effective design, the best colors to use, and even make recommendations on the shape and size of the custom decals to achieve the biggest impact.

BOOKTV.ORG C-SPAN2

I found this show on C-SPAN 2 a few weeks ago and I am absolutely loving it. Booktv.org usually comes on every weekend all weekend on C-Span2. Usually a lot non fiction, sometimes political topics, but they are getting into some fiction. Tonight, the one show was at the 2018 Tuscan Festival of Books and had 3 authors. One was Carol Gribble (The Radium Girls) Another Liza Mundy (Code Girls). And Elizabeth Cobbs (Hello, Girls: America's First Women Soldiers). Really interesting panel discussing women during World War ll.

There is even a list of upcoming Book Festivals in the US on the site.

I find it wonderful to find a way to hear the authors speak.
