Being a bitch tenacious has its reward. Two more books approved through Edelweiss. Both denied me the first time I requested them.

What a journey this book took me on. And I'm so very sad to see it ending. There were so many lovable characters in this story. I laughed, I cried, I hoped, and I wished that good things would happen to them.
The author did an incredible job going back and forth from the early years to present time. There were so many things going on in this book and not all of them were happy experiences.
I do think Ruth took a long time to get over her nightmare, but who's to say how that would affect any of us? I especially liked the way her nightmare ended.
And Sal, trying so hard to be the big ogre with that big soft heart of his. You can't help but love him.
This was a wonderful and very entertaining journey and you will truly miss out if you don't pick this one up. It will certainly be your loss.
Thank you Bastei Books and Net Galley for providing me with this free e-galley in exchange for an honest review. It was well worth the time it took to read.
“You’re mine?”
“I’m your girlfriend.”
“No, Ari, you’re fucking mine.”
“You’re my life raft in an endless ocean. You saved me from drowning. You saved me from myself.”
