Synopsis:

Falling in love is easy.
Making it work, well, that's where the fun begins.

Falling in love with Kyle Beaumont helped Elliott Judd find a romantic piece of himself he didn't know existed. The two men take the next step in their relationship when Kyle moves into Elliott's place, but despite the passion he feels for his talented mechanic and lover, the scorching hot race car driver suddenly feels out of place in his own home.

Kyle adores Elliott, and thinks of him as the love of his life he didn't see coming. But calling a mansion home and fitting into Elliott's space is more of a culture shock than he'd anticipated. Join Kyle and Elliott as they adjust to sharing their lives with one another, both in and out of the spotlight. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll wonder if these two will ever get it right.

Something about bringing in boxes and depositing a bunch of functional home making equipment within them means the temperature of an apartment grows cold. I’m moving about, shifting things from one place to another, cleaning inside kitchen cupboards ready for tomorrow morning’s handover with the rental agent. I should be warm. But I’m frozen to my core.

This was the place that I argued with my dad, one of our last conversations and certainly our last argument.

This is where I was living when I opened the contract for my new position which would eventually lead to meeting Elliott. I’ll be leaving a part of my history within these grubby walls. I know moving doesn’t mean you abandon the memories, but I’m still taken aback by how sentimental I feel about a place I never really liked that much. I guess it’s like splitting up with a girlfriend you don’t like. You’re still sad it didn’t work out, but you never had expectations in the first place.

Humans are complicated. It baffles me how we can make sense of others when we very often can’t make sense of ourselves.

Ooh, where to start? I used to work in a proper job that was KILLING me -- slowly! I packed it all in and retrained as a massage therapist and reflexologist which meant I had downtime to fill and I knew just the thing.

So, now I spend more hours than I work in my office conjuring up all manner of sex scenes and scrapes. I say I'm so happy because I have whichever imaginary friends with me, doing exactly what I like, when I want. Who could ask for more? Hah!

By the way, now I have NO downtime.

Please follow me, I'm on Facebook and Twitter Twatter and Instagram and I have my own
website, www.KarenBotha.com. It would be great to get some interaction from you guys. Much as I love my imaginary friends, it's great to speak to real people too.

Get Your Book Selling: Jumpstart Your Sales With a Simple Plan That Just Works (Growth Hacking For Storytellers #7)
Get Your Book Selling: Jumpstart Your Sales With a Simple Plan That Just Works (Growth Hacking For Storytellers #7) - Monica Leonelle This feels a bit like a companion book to [b:Prosperous Creation: Make Art and Make Money at the Same Time|33670474|Prosperous Creation Make Art and Make Money at the Same Time (Growth Hacking For Storytellers #5)|Monica Leonelle|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1483320662s/33670474.jpg|54542108]. It went a little deeper into understanding the tactics you can take to sell your books.

My biggest problem with the book was that I didn't really find any tactic that really resonated with me. I've latched onto one, I think, and I plan to look at my current endeavors and see if I can work them into that tactic.

The other thing I found confusing was the author's use of the term "sales funnel". I've seen it used before, but wasn't sure until nearly the end what she meant by it (as opposed to what I've gathered from other sources).

Overall, though, it's a great eye-opener to get you thinking about selling differently (it's not a specific, one-size-fits-all blueprint so much as a mindset and digging deep kind of thing).

So if you're looking for specifics, you might be disappointed by this book, but if you're ready to figure out something that works for you, your books, your budget, and your personality, then you'll likely get something worthwhile from Get Your Book Selling.

Review: Jumpstart by Riley Hart
Jumpstart (Crossroads Book 4) - Riley Hart

I just love Riley Hart!! She seldomly does wrong with me. Although it's a novella, the story between Beck and Christian totally worked for me. I would've loved a full-length story about them though, but that's just me being greedy.

Beckett is living his dream being the succesfull motocrosser he is. But something is still missing. His dream doesn't feel like it's enough. He wants real connection, wants to be fully happy. After he "accidenty" is being outed, Beck takes time off to see his friend Landon in Virginia.

More then ever, Beckett keeps thinking about his childhood friend Christian. The same Christian he left behind for 10 years....

Christian has never been able to forget about Beckett. He's been living in California for years but has always been following Beck's carreer. One day he receives a phonecall of Beck and he senses he could use his help. He packs his bags and heads off to Virginia.

I loved their reconnection.. I loved how they tried to be friends first again. To pick up where they left off 10 years ago. But being friends will never be enough.

Motocross was his dream, his career, his passion, one of his loves, but he hadn’t been fully living, not before he was honest about who he was, not before he had Christian back.

Loved to see all the guys of the Crossroad's series. Great seeing them being happy!!

I would love to see the next installment to be about Quinn, Christian's friend.

Jumpstart (Crossroads Book 4)
Jumpstart (Crossroads Book 4) - Riley Hart This story is set in my favorite trope - second chance. But not really when the other guy doesn't know you are 'in-to-him'. Beck is a motorcross star, trying to find his racing mojo after all the media circus around his coming out. Christian is the HS friend he had a secret thing about. Beck and Christian have this insta-chemistry that is more than just friendship. Once they both recognize it, boy oh boy, do they make up for opportunities missed.

I love novella formats especially when life doesn't give me time to read in one sitting. So what's my complaint? Yeah, it's I wanted more. The story felt a bit rushed in places so that it gave the reader a complete story. However, I love this author's story telling and if you are reading the Crossroads series, this book is definitely recommended.

The Daniel Plan Jumpstart Guide: Daily Steps to a Healthier Life
The Daniel Plan Jumpstart Guide: Daily Steps to a Healthier Life - Rick Warren,Dr. Daniel Amen,Dr. Mark Hyman It is a good book. Not what I was expecting but it definitely addresses the health issues in the Christian community & the world at large.
