A trip to Florida by car is a dream journey! Thanks to the developed network of highways, the state is ideally suited for traveling by car. Anyway, if you decided to travel on a rented car, there are some important moments of car rental you should know for sure.

Car rental Companies

There are several car rental agencies in Orlando Airport. And unlike European countries, it is often more advantageous to take the car out of the office in the city, namely at the airport. In any case, it is better to book a car in advance via the Internet. The choice of rental companies in Orlando is quite large: international (Dollar, Thrifty, Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise, Budget, Avis, National, Sixt and NU Car rental), as well as many regional ones. Among the local distributors in Orlando, there are Green Motion, Routes, Payless and Fox rent-a-car.

International or local company?

In both cases, there are advantages and disadvantages. Local companies tend to have slightly lower prices, but on such cars, you can travel only inside the region and return it to where you took it. The international company prices are slightly higher, but you can easily take the car in one place and return in another. Well, and if something happened to the car, then you will be given a help much faster, as there is found a more developed network of hire.

Price

The cost of car rental in Florida varies in different companies. For example, in Florida, take Kia Ria with automatic transmission and air conditioning for rent for a week will cost you from $25 per day. Please note that it is included in the chosen rate: taxes, insurance, franchise size, mileage, and navigator. Often the cost of 5 days of rent is equal to the cost of 7 days. In addition, companies periodically hold promotions and offer discounts on rentals. So look for promotional codes.

What documents are needed?

Documents for renting a car in the US are as follows:

  • passport (foreign);
  • driver's license;
  • bankcard;
  • insurance.

Basic insurance, as a rule, includes a franchise, the amount of which can vary from 200 to 2000 dollars. Nevertheless, at any point of rental you will be offered to take full coverage of the franchise. In the event that you have booked a car without full coverage – we advise you to arrange it. This will save you from unnecessary worries in unforeseen situations.

Who can take a car?

Requirements for age and driving experience of the client in the US are standard. In some companies of car rental in Orlando, the hire is possible from the age of 18, others – only from 21 years, in the third – for drivers under 25 years there is a special young driver fee.

Offers for young drivers

Hertz offers for young drivers aged 21-24 an additional car fee of $15 for a car of economy class. For other cars (crossovers, intermediate, standard, except exclusive) – $25. Drivers from 18-21 years old must pay $41 extra per day of rent.

In Alamo, Dollar and National car rental companies there are so-called "golden packages for young drivers" – but on the websites of the rental offices about this there is not a word – they are available only through the dispatchers.

Advice! Before taking a car at any car rental, it is necessary to inspect the chosen car carefully, ask for additional equipment or other important questions, read every line in the lease contract. It is better to download GPS navigator into your phone or simple Google Maps and think of the rout beforehand!

"An Ex for Christmas" by Lauren Layne

My Thoughts....

This is definitely one of those read where one will say wow and shaking ones head! Poor Kelly Byme was really having a lots of trouble not being able to see the forest for the woods syndrome but being caught in in 'tea leaves, tarots cards, magic eight balls and gypsies telling the future. So, when Kelly psychic has her thinking she is getting back together with a ex by Christmas...her search will start and oh my god where it will lead her! So, instead of Kelly seeing Mark Blakely who had been her best friend for years, one she could and did count on and was right their in front her her she still goes through her long list of exes. However, I did keep in mind that Mark was just a friends and not a ex. Oh, yes they did share a spunky dog! This will be one funny and have you laughing out loud as this story goes on as Kelly takes Mark along with her on this venture of hers. Will this put a strain among these two friendship? What will happen as Kelly finally starts to see what is right in front of her? This author does a good job at pulling the reader into this story wanting to know what will happen next in this emotional hot, sweet and sexy romantic story. So, as we find Kelly 'working around getting ready for the holiday, working around superstitions, ex boyfriends, ex friends, a friend and a dog' the reader will get one heck of a good holiday story.

In the end will Kelly and Mark get their HEA? Well, you will have to pick up "An Ex for Christmas" to see how this author will bring the readers one entertaining 'fun read with lots of humor and chemistry' giving us a good Christmas read. Would I recommend this novel? YES!

"Roomies" by Christina Lauren

My Thoughts....

What a interesting read of "Roomies" where I found myself not being able to put this one down until the very end wanting to know what was going to happen to Holland and Calvin next. I like how this author was able to deliver such a good read that involved the 'musical aspects and the Broadway musical' that was so important to the read. Truly this marriage of convenience due to immigration was delivered so very well in this well written story. The two main characters Holland and Calvin were simply off the chart being to incredible and even somewhat realistic with each having some issues of their own. It was even great as the reader will see Holland finally finding herself by figuring herself out which was so very important in this story. It was also interesting seeing how this story wasn't just about romance but of...well this is where I will stop and say you will have to pick this novel up and see how well this author gives it to the reader. Even though I felt this some of this story was somewhat predictable it was still a good read where I enjoyed the journey. Be ready for a marriage of convenience that will grow into something much more with 'emotion, drama and even sexual tension.'

Even though this story may have had a good ending it would have been even greater if this story had a epilogue but yet I guess the reader can assume it was all good in the end. Would I recommend? Yes!

"Our Short History" by Lauren Grodstein

My Thoughts....

"Our Short History" really deals with a subject that is somewhat hard to talk about...dying.  This author does a very good job in presenting this mesmerizing, hear wrenching told story. What will a mother do when she finds out that she doesn't have long to live [fighting stage IV ovarian cancer] and she has a son who was just six year old.  Karen writes a book for her son who was just six year old to be read by his older self.   This was definitely one of those 'tearjerker' reads.

What will happen when Jake ask hims mother to find his dad?  Now Jake wants to meet his father which presents problems for the mother,  Karen.  What will she do because there is a history that did not turn out well between Karen and Jake's father?  Will her sister still be able to take care of Jake as it had been planned now that the father has come into the picture.  This is a very emotional read that will give the reader quite one complicated relationships with all of these characters: from Karen, Jake, Jake's father [Dave] and Karen's sister. Now, I did say that this is sad story however, do be ready for a little humor at times, very absorbing and so memorable and even thought provoking in this mother-son relationship.

This author really gives the reader one beautifully well written story that is so very raw as her son 'resonates and Karen's bravery in facing her illness is so very admirable.  With that all I can say is that this story "Our Short History" was one story that I will not forget anytime soon.   I will say after all that had gone with between Karen and her ex boyfriend [Dave], her illness and her life she had not chosen for herself I could definitely  understand why she felt the way she did about this whole situation.  In the end we see that this wasn't about the 'life Karen had given her son but the live he had given her.'

My Thoughts....

What a very entertaining read that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next.  I found the read had 'great dialogue with humorous banter[that will have you laughing out loud], adventure and yes...love.'  Be ready for many twist and turns with surprises taking the reader on quite a rogue ride of 'romance, passion, mystery, murder, adventure and intrigue.'  This was one of those reads that the reader will love all the characters...even some of the villains.  So, if you are looking for a entrancing novel from beginning to the end "Wicked Designs" will give it all to you.

Thank you to the author for the gift of your novel for my giving my honest opinion of the read.
