I visited the Museum of London for a second time recently with more time put aside to fully appreciate it after having had to curtail a previous visit. It's free entry but worthwhile making a donation to this superb museum for history lovers like me. There are some great displays from pre Roman times right up to the present day of the city of London, which has so much history to share. Personally I found the displays on the suffragettes and the political movements of the early 20th century of particular interest as they contained exhibits not seen in typical museum displays elsewhere. Lots of interactive stuff throughout to keep visitors of all ages engaged.There are also free short tours of sections of the museum each day. You don't have to book these, they announce them during your visit so you can just join them if you wish. I had the benefit of a wonderful short tour of the Medieval section led by Jenny who gave very interesting explanations to some of the exhibits there and managed to appeal to a diverse group with different levels of experience and ages.

This is a great experience that uses digital media and animation to tell the story of London as experienced by the beasts that have lived here throughout history.

We really enjoyed the use of new media, which is great for our kids who've grown up in this digital age. You move through the ages in different room sets where you will see and hear the sights and sounds, creating an immersive experience.

The stories are informative and funny with a few jokes for the parents thrown in too.

This is a great museum. Great history of London going back thousands of years. Learned so much about the history of the area and how it was settled. It is free but we gave a donation. Spent 3-4 hours and could have stayed longer. Nice to visit if you have an extra day.
