"Fire Lily" by Deborah Camp

My Thoughts...

"Fire Lily" was indeed quite a fascinating read where Lily Jane Meeker and Griffon Golforth come together and with their psychic powers are able to find Cecille Meeker who was a cousin of Lily. What will happen when Lily finds out that she has the ability to read ones mind and share her dreams? Also with her 'Tactile Memory Lily was able to touch things and sense things about them.' Why did it seem to be a problem for her to admit she had this psychic powers to be able to do this? What had happened earlier in her life where Lily seem to want to shut it all out about her memory? Who was Griffon Golforth who was of the American Society of Psychic Research and seemed to be able to figure out Lily powers so very well? Why had he been hired by this family?

This was really a intriguing story in how this author puts this story all together in this historical romantic read that will bring out the 'sexy, mysterious and dangerous' side of this well written read with the main area being focused around Boston, Fort Smith and Van Buren.

What will happen as Lily is drawn to Griffon as her 'girlhood dream was that of marrying a dashing, romantic Gypsy?' Will her dream come true? Well, this is one of those novels that you will just have to pick up and read for yourself to see just who was Griffon Golforth and just why had he been hired to find Cecille? The characters in this read were simply off the chain...well developed, portrayed and believable giving the reader one heck of a good story. The characters from Lilly, Griffon, Uncle Howard, Aunt Nan, Angela & Edward Meeker, Orrie, Cecille, Balthazar [Zar], Sheriff Mac, Thurman Unger, Ham, Anson, Jasper, Eva, Butch Jefferses to a few others really presented the reader with some engaging thoughts that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next. Yes, there were some good and bad ones characters to along with some prejudices too!

By the end will their be a HEA for Lily and Griffon? You will just have to pick up this good read to see.

"Virtue" by Victoria Vane

MY SYNOPSIS

As always this author gives her readers another well written read that will keep one thrilled and intrigued with a story that also keeps one turning the pages to see what will happen next in this Highlander Scottish Romance series. The story features two main characters...Sibylla Mac William and Alexander. It was very interesting that when these two meet you will be able to feel the connection that is their between them. We find Alexander not really knowing of his heritage, left to leave as a monk but goes as a teacher to help a Highland family that needed a Tudor. After arriving and seeing and meeting Lady Sibylla his finds that his heart is conflicted. Now, why is that? This is where I say I don't want to spoil it for you so, you will have to pick up this read to see if these two will get their HEA.

I liked how the twist and turns, fast pace and surprises that were feed into the story that really keeps the reader on the edge of there seats wondering how this story will come out in the end. Be prepared for a little bit of it all from... 'secrets, betrayals, danger, passion and love' that will take the reader into the next series of 'Sons of Scotland.'

"Wicked Designs" by Lauren Smith

My Thoughts....

What a very entertaining read that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next.  I found the read had 'great dialogue with humorous banter[that will have you laughing out loud], adventure and yes...love.'  Be ready for many twist and turns with surprises taking the reader on quite a rogue ride of 'romance, passion, mystery, murder, adventure and intrigue.'  This was one of those reads that the reader will love all the characters...even some of the villains.  So, if you are looking for a entrancing novel from beginning to the end "Wicked Designs" will give it all to you.

Thank you to the author for the gift of your novel for my giving my honest opinion of the read.

Rainbow Snippet - A Shared Love

Today's snippet is from A Shared Love, the final book in the Spartan Love arc of Apollo's Men. It's a lot longer than six sentences, but I think I can be forgiven for not being able to cut it shorter.
