Books I Read This Month (September 2017)

Sorry. Due to work travel I am behind schedule with a lot of posts.

Hope you enjoy seeing a lot of me on the dashboard today.

I read 33 books this month. As of today, I have read 308 books and I am still trying to hit my reading goal of 337 books this year. Next year I am going to keep my goal to 50 books. Or maybe 10. Seriously. I don't like to feel like I am being timed.

I also realized that I totally petered out of challenges this year because I just got too busy to keep up with them. I haven't check in on the Library Challenge in the past few months. I am still marking my library books on Goodreads, I just don't have the time to go in and link the books read. I will say as of today, I read 147 books from the library, so I am feeling pretty proud.

Next year I plan on getting back to the Goodreads Horror Aficionados and The (Mostly) Dead Writers Society groups and stepping back from doing any Popsugar or any other challenges. I love our bingo and other games (obviously) so with having to track all of that, I just don't want to spread myself too thin.

How is your 2017 reading goal coming along?

Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body - Roxane Gay
Fifty Shades of Grey - E.L. James

I honestly did not get a chance to read that many books. I had a lot of work commitments and not too many things spoke to me.

I read 27 books for the month of July. One of those was a DNF though. I have to start setting aside books I don't enjoy. It's kind of a pain to force read something that you are feeling meh about.

More than at the halfway point fellow readers! Are you close to your reading goal or have you surpassed it?

As of today I have read 216 books and am 51 books ahead of schedule. My goal for this year is to read 337 books. I am off all next week so I am looking forward to some prime reading time. You will be sick of all the updates I will be throwing your way. I promise you.

I only read 17 books this month due to job pressures. Thank goodness the report I was working on went out today. I have never been so tired in my life. Everyone keeps yelling at me to go home and have a Happy 4th. But I wanted to get this post and another one out to you all.
