One more music post for the night and then I'm back to writing, but I wanted to share this, not because it's related to the project I'm working on right now, but because I was perusing Youtube and found this and it brought back some good memories.  I've mentioned I'm into retrogames, but this was definitely a throwback.

"Snatcher" is a cyberpunk game that was made for Sega, and it has one of my favorite storylines for the genre in gaming.  If you're into retrogames and like watching LPs, I'd recommend this one for the storyline.  The characters are fun, the setting's cool, and while I could tell who the bad guy was after a certain point, it does a good job of keeping you in mystery for events for a while. It has a smorgasbord of inspirations from The Terminator to Blade Runner among some other sci-fi bit references.

This song happens to be the opening theme. The opening sequence was one I really liked as well as the song.  I've used this theme as mood music more than once in some projects I've worked on.

Felt like sharing this at random while I'm going through "Ghost House" (albeit slowly).  This song's stuck in my head for some reason, and I've no idea why.  I've always liked the symbolism in the PV for this song. Plus - Gundam Seed.  Plus: T.M. Revolution.

Need I say more?

(And watching this is making me want to go in a stream of listening to his songs, both his solo stuff along and songs recorded with abingdon boys school.  BRB, going to search out Heart of Sword.)

Had a friend of mine once send me a video like this via Youtube and cap it with the message "You've just been Ducktailed!"  With the same gusto supposedly as RickRolling someone.

So I guess I ought to continue the trend.  But seriously, once this song gets stuck in your head, there's no getting it out.  Nope, not at all.  And I have no shame.

This is a blast from the past, at least as far as me making random posts tonight, I thought I'd share this.  I remember Rurouni Kenshin, this series (Yuu Yuu Hakusho), and Hikaru No Go being among some of the first longer running anime series I ever watched in completion, upwards of 50 episodes anyway. (Besides some other longer running shoujo series like Sailor Moon, but even with SM, it took me forever to find Sailor Stars to watch because it was never released in the U.S. - at least not until now.)

I blame Hikaru No Go for getting me obsessed with Go for a while, and I blame this series for making me come home after school and watch to see who would win the tournament battles when Yuusuke and company would fight.  I watched this first in its dub, then watched the Japanese version later on.  I wouldn't mind watching this from the beginning again.
