If you have been missing Superman, you know, the guy who was a hero and a genuinely nice guy -- here's the book for you! He's back! Thanks to the magic of complicated comic continuity (which you don't even need to really keep up with) Superman is now a loving husband and father. It is so great.
I'm ready to read more please.
I just watched Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and oh my, this movie was so bad. The whole Martha business was utterly ridiculous (I haven´t done so much eyerolling in a very long time), the special effect guys must have borrowed that "thing" from another movie set or from a second hand store for crappy CGI monsters and don´t get me started on Lois Lane. Because, woman, I have to tell you, Superman has other things to do than to save your ass all the time.
I liked Ben Affleck as Batman and Wonder Woman was pretty awesome. But other than that this movie is shite.
It's got a misunderstanding, the tension between Superman and General Lane, and Superman and Wraith coming together despite Lane's attempts to keep them at each other's throats.
It's fun, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've both loved and hated some of the new 52: Batman, especially towards the end? Loved. Lobo? Despised. So I was happy to find I quite enjoyed this story.
I'm a little behind on both reviews - and I got a lot of comics this week due to the buy one, get one free sale on Marvel comics at Newbury, yay! - so I'm going to keep on trucking here.
