They say one action doesn’t define you.  I killed a man. Stabbed him in the neck and licked the blood off my lips after I did it.

Still, one action doesn’t define you.

I could have called anyone. My father, the Prez of The Fallen MC, our family lawyer, my best friend, Lila, or my brother, King.

I didn’t.

Instead, I called Lionel Danner, the police officer renowned for taking down the Nightstalkers MC. The man who had been my father’s arch nemesis for decades. The man who hated everything I stood for. A man who had disappeared from my life without explanation three years ago.

I called him.

And maybe one action doesn’t define you, but killing a bad man and calling in the good changed my life and it sure as hell changed his.

The third book in the Fallen Men Series. A standalone featuring Harleigh Rose and Officer Lionel Danner.

I am so loving this series and I have to say were are so looking forward to Harleigh Roses's story as she had always been a favorite character that we were drawn to as she was a train wreck waiting to happen.

I loved this story from beginning to end.The story had you engrossed from the very first pages and kept you on edge the entire time. The story never had a dull moment and was filled with tons of drama,Surprises! and more than a few OMG! moments!

I have to say that the story surprise me at every turn " Which We Hardily Appreciated!" I always new that Harleigh and Lion played a bit of the cat and mouse game together but, I never new how deeply connected they were to one another until this current story.

I loved getting to know more about Harleigh Rose as well as Lionel Danner aka Lion. I normally don't like the flashing aspect in these ongoing stories but, in this story the author interrogated that past and present events in sync with all the drama going on in this current story at the perfect time and gave us insight into King and Harleigh connection to Lion and they bond they all forged together and how it all played a part in this ongoing current story.

Omg! This story was hotter than hot!The chemistry between these two was explosive. This couples sexual encounters are super hot, intense and full of surprises as they had me fanning myself more than a few times! lol

I always pick a favorite character and mine this time around I have to pick Lionel aka Lion Why? Omg ! because he surprised us at every turn.Officer Danner was far from the goody two shoes we thought him to be but was anything but ! lol

I have to say we never saw Lion coming.Lion's character surprised me the most.I had been wondering if Lion had always been a bad boy under all the righteous armor and kept it hidden or if all his undercover work brought out the bad boy side that had been always been lurking there to make its appearance."Still pondering." lol

Harleigh Rose we loved he.We loved her spunk, strength, determination, found she had a sense of humor, was feisty and was a self sacrificing when it came to those she loved.

Overall I loved the story and could not put it down once I started reading it.The story kept you on edge the entire time as well as kept you guessing at what would happen next as the story had drama after drama happening all around Harleigh Rose and Lion and whether someone was going to undercover all those secrets they wanted to keep buried. The romance between these two was super hot and their sexual encounters even hotter which made the read even more scorching, intriguing and entertaining. Most of all the story was just an awesome read !This story and the stories before it all had an amazing cast of characters to us to love as well as hate. For me this one goes into the keeper pile to be read time and time again.

This author is definitely one of my favorite MC authors and favorite book series for 2018 we are so glad we found your books to read as they have brought us nothing but pure enjoyment.

Hoping this author continues to write more MC reads for us read as well as enjoy.

Author Lee Piper - “So yeah, Good Gone Bad is hot AF. But it’s also more than that. It’s layered, multifaceted, and above all, beautifully written.”

Musings of the Modern Belle - “Good Gone Bad is not just a super steamy romance, it is not just a suspenseful story about taking down a corrupt MC, it is a reflection of how humans aren’t just good or bad. It is a look at how we are both, how we can find our match in another, someone who just inherently gets you. It is about living wild and free while still having limits and being able to surrender and submit for those you love. It is an epic ride I implore you to take. Giana and Danner and Rosie won’t let you down.”

Let's start off by saying that this was a new author for us and we loved our first read by them from beginning to end.

Cast- Maja,Buck,Mute,King,H.R. (Harleigh Rose)Louise aka Lou,LouLou,Foxy,Blackjack,Reese,Zeus aka guardian monster,
Ruby,Cricket,Cressida aka Queenie,Nova,Bat Crux,Ace,Lionel Danners,Axeman,Boner,Mr.Warren,Bea,
Javier,Benjamin,Sammy,Cy,Lab-Rat,Curtains,Priest,Boner,Hannah,Cleo,Tayline,Phillipa.

This entire cast made this story.

Let's start off by saying just Wow! What a great story from beginning to end. Omg! I really don't know where to start as there were so many things I just loved about the story so I guess I will start by saying that this story was filled with amazing characters. We loved pretty much all the characters but, absolutely loved Lou and Zeus and their love story.

This is a new author for me and after reading this story I can just tell she is going to be the one of my top favorite new authors if she continues to write stories like this one. When I first starting reading this story I didn't realize this was an MC Romance but, boy old boy it was a totally hot one and an amazing read. This story had so much drama, suspense, heartache, pain and suffering, death, obstacles, along with major health issues for some as well as betrayals and so much more. The story was so engrossing that it kept you glued to the pages the entire time.I loved everything about it.The story itself is very unusual one which made it so intriguing right from the get go.Zeus a bad*ass hardened biker saves the life of a little girl who interns becomes his pen pal, best friend and savior and soul mate  all wrapped up into one.

Louise and Zeus aka Lou and Foxy developed a bond of friendship from the moment he saved her life when she was only 7 years old .Lou always referred to her savior as her guardian monster which is so cute it fits Zeus to a T but, for Lou its was a fitting knick name one meant in a loving way not and unkind one.Every time Lou used that knick name I chuckled.Their friendship lasted  into Lou's teenage years.

I really loved the letters back and forth between them as it gave Zeus something to hold onto and to care about and it was the same for Lou.It was to cute the way a 7 year old starting letters to her savior but in return he was her savior too!

I always pick a favorite character in a story and my absolute favorite is Louise known as Lou/LouLou/Foxy/Little Warrior There were so many things to love about Lou and that was her bravery, kindness, loving heart, smarts, her rebel side, her determination.Lou also was feisty, outgoing sexy and a
women who knows her own mind and speaks it and had an amazing sense of humor who constantly made me laugh. From the time Louise was 7 years old I saw a rebel in the making. For me sayings like your 14 going on 40 is so true for Lou as I never really so her for the age she really was.
(lol and grins)

Lou is a character that your heart wants to break for all she has had to deal with so much pain and suffering in her short life but, she was incredibly strong brave and determined women that you just new she would beat the odds each and every time life dealt a curve ball.I was rooting for her the entire time!

I really loved Louise and Zeus's love story as it was intense, heartfelt and one that came from true love for one another and destined soul mates. I have to say that the huge age gap was always present and there would always be obstacles to overcome but their blind devotion and love for one another made you over look all that and just see that a chance encounter brought two people together that were just meant to be together.Zeus and Lou's romance between them was Hot! Hot! Hot! and Hotter ! Holy friggen fanning!Zeus and Lou's sexual relationship with each and other was hot, crude and filled with dirty talk and the sex between them was mind blowing as they never seem to get enough of one another.Lou was one Lucky girl to have such a fierce lover!
(smirks and smiles)

Holy smokes ! I want a Zeus for myself (lol)

Zeus was a complicated character that comes with the good and the bad but, he was the kind of character that you come to love both sides of him.Zeus scared the crap out of  even me as he was dangerous, sexy, dark, lethal, protective, possessive and his aura just screamed "danger beware".Zeus maybe all those things but he is loyal to a fault and capable of being a loving and caring man who loves with ones whole heart.

Zeus was a character that was exactly the type of man who never made excuses for the man he was but, embraced his dark side as well as the loving side. What a very intense man but, seeing how well he loved his children,Lou,and his brothers we knew deep down he really was a loving caring person but, the dark side of his personality even made me want to come over to the dark side. LoL

I have to say that this was one hot unpredictable read that brought drama and was intriguing that kept you on edge the entire time as well as made you laugh and cry.I loved getting to know these amazing characters throughout the story and even developed a soft spot in my heart for Mute .I loved his and Lou's friendship and the bond they developed for one another.

Overall I loved the forbidden love story through and through as Lou and Zeus were amazing characters and I loved being on their adventure that lead to true love and to your soul mate no matter age ,distance, time and what was meant to be will be.

The author has now gained a new fan in me and once realizing this was the second book in the series I dove right into book one to read about Cress and Kings story and I am so loving it.This author's
books are very addictive.

review SPOILER ALERT! 2018-05-18 02:17
Amos Decker solving small town murders
The Fallen (Amos Decker series) - David Baldacci

Amos Decker was on vacation.

He has nowhere he has to be, so he followed Alex to visit her sister who just allocated to a small town, Baronville.

Amos, not being the most sociable person, was taking a break in the backyard with his beer. He also get the chance to talk to Alex's niece, reminded him of his daughter.

With that he discovered the first two dead bodies.

The two dead bodies might be linked to four other dead bodies found recently in this small town.

That should have alert the police and other law enforcement agency as there is not enough manpower to handle six deaths. The ME is not that good either.

So why didn't the local police asked for help?

Amos has the rule not to trust anyone unless proved otherwise.

Good that he did.

The sidestepping on the story of the loss of shopping malls when people go online to shop. And that make facilitation plant a big business. Alex brother-in-law worked at the local plant.

Baronville also has a drug addicts population.

The story created a lot of big city problem in this small town.

Add one legacy to the mix. John Baron, the grandson of the founder in this town. John was not rich and neither were his parents who had died when he was still in university. Now he lived in his big house and selling off most of the asset to get by.

Amos investigate the murders, just because he knew about it. Turned out the two dead bodies found were DEA agents.

So DEA got involved with hours when FBI sent out search for identities.

DEA is on point. And bossy.

Amos had done the typical way of his investigation. Interviews everyone and see who lied to him. Then chased after those liars and found out the truth.

And of course, the killers would want to kill him.

Amos and Alex were at the trailer belonged to one of the dead bodies when someone locked the doors and set it on fire.

The action part is good. And this give a bit more dimension to the character when Amos was injured with a concussion, again.

He could no longer recall perfectly. And his color association with death is gone.

Amos was unsure of himself. He has gone through a lot of change. From professional athlete  to cop to homeless, then FBI. From father and husband to widow and childless. From normal to have total recall.

That's a lot of changes for one single person.

The side story of John Baron being bullied in a bar when Amos stepped in is good. Amos befriended John and that provided clue for his investigation.

Then everything comes together.

Amos did the traditional reveal.

The skill of the writer is to bring the reader through the scene of the story without being too obvious, yet provided a good atmosphere for the storytelling.

Good book. Looking forward to the next one.

5 stars read.

Reading progress update: I've read 334 out of 432 pages.
The Fallen (Amos Decker series) - David Baldacci

The ability to fall asleep quickly or the inability to stay awake even when the reading light is on is the only thing that kept me from finishing this book.

Amos Decker is being thrown into a mystery by just being there.

He interviewed a lot of persons living on the street.

And that give him some clue on the sound he heard on the night he discovered two dead bodies across the street.

Also the fact that there is floor plan found in the house of Alex's sister give us a possibility that the facilitation plant is related to all the other dead bodies found.

John Baron is now being framed for the murders.

The atmosphere built here is really good. Small town, people being mean to John Baron just because he is the grandson.

Amos is becoming more human after the recent concussion. Although his perfect memory is not as perfect.

There is a big illegal drug operation going on. The murders might be linked to that. It is time to find out who is behind this operation and why do they want to kill all these people.

Reading progress update: I've read 235 out of 432 pages.
The Fallen (Amos Decker series) - David Baldacci

Amos Decker lost his family not long ago. Now the niece of Alex reminded him so much of his daughter Molly.

He is sad. And stuck in the state of mind that he think he is only good at one thing, solving murder.

The investigation continued. Finally found out who the identity of the dead bodies he found. His plan is for him to work on the murders and Alex to stay with her family.  Alex would not left him alone without backup.

Then they run into danger when someone tried to kill them. They got away with on sheer strength and Amos' ability to break thing, like door that block their way out from a burning house. Or in this case, burning trailer.

Amos has another concussion and this affected slightly on his total recall ability.

The ability for Amos to relate to people is limited.

Amos is so relatable. Socialiabilty is just so difficult for some people, but that is a highly valued that put social anxious persons at a disadvantage.

The murders he found is now related to four other murders previously happened in this small town.

Baron the fourth has a runin with the locals. They hated him just because his grandfather was rich and exploited the labours. Now he is not rich, yet still live in the old mansion his family left him.

Drug use is common as a form of escape from the harsh reality that the town is dying.

The new logistic shipping compound is in town. Reflecting on the dying of the malls and moving the buy and selling online. So filling orders from various companies, however small, become big business.

What is loss is the many opportunities for human interaction. Now people talk to their family, many only if they have to. So called friends are just persons who click "like" or send "text" over devices. How humans move from being social to a virtual social plane without realizing they are actually isolating themselves and trusting computer run system.

Really enjoyable read.

Reading progress update: I've read 70 out of 432 pages.
The Fallen (Amos Decker series) - David Baldacci

Amos Decker is adorably miserable when he was ordered to take leave. He didn't have anywhere to go so he followed Alex Jamison and visit ther sister.

So he was just hanging out. The thing I like about Amos is that he was like me, and prefer to hide or get out of the way of the party at a corner, or a balcony or at the back yard. That's what he did.

So he talked to a kid who is 6 and then at a flash caused, he saw something. Run across a quiet street and investigate. He crashed the door to go in because he thought he smell something burning and someone might be in trouble.

What he found is two dead bodies.

And he called the police.

Not very competent police. Instead of being an opinion from Amos or Alex, the scene was setup so that the cop almost shoot at an FBI agent because he is too trigger happy.

Nice. Amos insert himself to the investigation as he is not confident that the local police could handle this. Even more so if this is not the first two dead bodies but number 5 and 6 in the last few weeks.

Liking it.
