Der Halbblutprinz // The Half-Blood Prince!!!
Harry Potter und der Halbblutprinz - J.K. Rowling

I read this book for the first time ever, back in the day when the books wwere first released, I stopped reading after the 4th book because everything just got to dark for me. Now, these days, I'm in it to (not to win it but to) suffer.

And, oh boy, how much did I suffer throught this book, especially towards the end. Nothing new happened, cause I watched the movies more than once and I knew what was going to happen but the end still was a suckerpunch in the gut.

Still, I truly loved this book. I loved the flashbacks into the life of Voldemort, his whole backstory and everything. I especially loved how it was told and 'showed'. Of course, I would have loved if Dumbledore would've just told everything in the beginning and be done with it BUT that wouldn't have been suspenseful at all. So it totally worked for me.

Other than that, the kids are getting older, so with all the usual drama they deal with, now they also deal with relationship drama. Is it necessary? No! But, I still think it was entertaining and it kinda lightened things up a bit.

I really want to read the last book this year, cause I want to finally be done with the series, just so I can reread it in the illustrated version LOL

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling,Mary GrandPré

Harry Potter is partaking in his sixth year at Hogwarts school. While there, Harry gets help from someone called "The Half-Blood Prince" and tries to figure out who it is. The Half-Blood Prince gives him instructions on how to do all of the potions and even secret things around the school, but will this really be a great idea or will it get Harry in even more trouble?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling 5 stars

"Do you remember me telling you we are practicing non-verbal spells, Potter?"

"Yes," said Harry stiffly.

"Yes, sir."

"There's no need to call me "sir" Professor."

I will never not laugh at this.

No, Booklikes, I am NOT reading this book!
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling

I did a one-book import of my "currently reading" book over from Goodreads, because it is an edition that (of course) did not--and apparently STILL does not--exist on Booklikes.  A little over four hours later, I received my email notice that the import is "complete."  Yet somehow, this resulted in a completely other book being listed as "currently reading."

I want to remove this from my currently reading, but I guess I will leave it up for a little while, in case this helps BL figure out what has gone wrong.

Then I will probably spend five minutes doing what I was [gosh-darnit] trying to avoid doing in the first place.  Manually adding a new edition.  Is it so, so wrong that I just want this to be easy?!?!?!!?

Update: Lost my patience, removed wrong book from my import list.  Manually added edition I am actually reading.  Yes, that thing I spent all day trying to avoid.  When I foolishly thought I had a "shortcut."
