Murder, She Wrote, Coffee, Tea and Murder
Murder, She Wrote: Coffee, Tea, or Murde... Murder, She Wrote: Coffee, Tea, or Murder?: Coffee, Tea, or Murder? (Murder She Wrote) - Donald Bain,Jessica Fletcher

#27 of the series.

I loved Murder, She Wrote when it was on tv and watched it when it was on Netflix. Trying to watch it now is a little difficult as the times are either during sleep or school. So getting a chance to read the books or listening to them on audio is the next best thing.

In this, Jessica and others from Cabot Cove, the hometown of one of the owners of the new airline, have been invited as special guests to fly the inaugural flight to England. After they arrive, the owner is found dead with a knife in his back in the cockpit. Jessica is asked to help Scotland Yard to solve the murder since she is friends with the main investigator who values her thoughts.

Murder, She Wrote, The Maine Mutiny
Murder, She Wrote: The Maine Mutiny - Je... Murder, She Wrote: The Maine Mutiny - Jessica Fletcher

Cabot Cove is gearing up for their first Lobster Festival and have asked the Lobstermen to not sell their lobster to other places so that there are plenty of lobster for the festival. There is so much happening while getting ready for the festival and Jessica asks if she can help. She agrees to write the article for the special paper that is going to be sold during the festival week. She gets the men to agree to let her on a boat to watch and learn. Learn she does. She learns that the man who is the "broker" is thought to be cheating the men and they are between a rock and hard place. When that man is found dead on Spencer's boat (an old man whose boat has been sabotaged many times) and Jessica is left to die in the middle of the ocean on that same boat, she wants to find out who really murdered the broker.

The story starts with Jessica adrift on the boat and suffering from amnesia and a head injury. Then the story goes back to before the head injury. I don't really enjoy that kind of a story, but this time I was interested in the story and did some research on lobsters. Mostly because I can't ever eat them and I just wanted to learn some more.

Murder, She Wrote: Manhattans and Murder
Murder, She Wrote: Manhattans and Murder - Jessica Fletcher ,Donald Bain

While in Manhattan promoting her new book, Jessica sees a man she knew from Cabot Cove. She is uncertain and goes up to him, he is dressed like Santa and collecting money. She gives him a dollar and then calls his name. He sets up for them to meet the next day at the same spot, at 2 p.m. When she returns, she sees what she thinks is him, murdered, and then the police do nothing and she is frustrated and angry and takes names. As the days move along another person is murdered and she wants to know the truth.

Fun story to listen to and to read. Especially good for when you are feeling nostalgic and wanting to watch old tv shows. I loved Murder, She Wrote when it was on and miss it now that it is off the air (to show of all things: Christmas Movies).

Definitely going to read/listen to some others.

We found out we are moving back to the US sometime mid-summer. So now we are just waiting for our orders (telling us where we are moving to) to start the out-processing/clearance process. I am re-adjusting my summer reading plans and delaying grad school. I am really happy to be going "home" but I will miss some parts of living in England.

To deal with my anxiety and stress (you would think I had a better handle on military moves considering this is my fourth move, but nope), I have been stuffing my eReaders with as much content as possible. One reason is that when we get close to leaving, my eReaders and laptop will be my only entertainment for weeks, since we will be staying in hotel rooms or temporary lodgings once back in the states. Second, my print collection will be on a boat with my other household goods, and that can take up to two months for it to arrive at our new house. So I am very dependent on easily portable reading material and puzzle books.

Murder She Wrote, Continuation
Murder, She Wrote: Aloha Betrayed - Donald Bain,Jessica Fletcher

When this show first appeared on tv, my mom loved the show and watched it religiously. Eventually, I started watching it, too and enjoyed it. I wasn't as religious about watching it (between work, school and homework there wasn't time) and so would watch whenever I could. Then it was on Netflix and I would watch a few episodes at a time to catch up. Then one day in a library, I saw the books, not all of them, just some. I borrowed one here or there.

I found this originally as an audiobook and borrowed it, but didn't get very far and gave up. I found it again as a Kindle book and regular book and borrowed it so that I could read it to fill in the Reading around the USA mysteries. It took care of Hawaii (I know there are many out there, but this worked, too).

Jessica Fletcher has arrived in Maui, HI to co-teach a class with a famous retired detective, Mike Kane. On her arrival, she finds another person she has been asked to find and meet, Mala, a friend of Seth Haslitt's granddaughter. On the first night, Jessica is going to a luau and looks for Mala there but meets, Bob and his wife, Elaine, Professor Luzon and his wife, Honi and his graduate assistant, Grace. Just before she leaves, Grace tells Jessica that Mala was at the luau, but that she was arguing with someone. Jessica also overhears some men talking about getting rid of a woman if she continues to cause trouble.

She is told about Mala's death by Mike and they begin to look into the death of Mala because while the officials are calling it an accident, they don't believe it was an accident.

I did enjoy this story and was glad that I finally got a chance to read it.
