Giveaway & Review – No Fury Like That by Lisa de Nikolits @lisadenikolits @partnersincr1me
No Fury Like That - Lisa de Nikolits

No Fury Like That

No Fury Like That by Lisa de Nikolits

MY REVIEW

I needed a change of pace from reading so many suspense, thriller, and paranormal novels, and watching Julia grow from a diva with no friends to a woman loved by some very unusual characters was a fantastic surprise that I would highly recommend.

I love all the characters, even the son of bi gun evil ones, because they make this novel so much more than I expected.

So far, Julia refuses to see what is right in front of her. She is dead. D. E. A. D. Dead. And in Purgatory.

Miss Richy Rich is in for a rude awakening. The only way out of Purgatory is through ‘an epic realization.’ I have a feeling she is going to wake up pretty quick and I wonder…what then?

I recently read a book about reincarnation and No Fury Like That made me curious for another take on second chances. I was not disappointed.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy No Fury Like That by Lisa de Nikolits.

Treasure Hunting for the City of Gold by Carolyn Arnold @Carolyn_Arnold
City of Gold (Matthew Connor Adventure Series) - Carolyn Arnold

Carolyn Arnold can sure spin a tale and I am very eager to hunt for the City of Gold.

Amazon  /  Goodreads

MY REVIEW

I love treasure hunting and am very excited to travel to South America to search for the Lost City of Gold with Carolyn Arnold.

Matthew was the reason Cal was the Indiana Jones type, a modern day treasure hunter. An adrenaline junkie and thrill seeker. Danger is part of his game.

Matthew, and his friends, Cal and Robyn…could danger have followed them home?

Sophie has ‘feelings’ and they are not good ones.

Have you heard of the Lost City of Gold? Carolyn Arnold made me curious enough, I had to Google Patiti, Bolivia and El Dorado. Check it out for yourself.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, their journey is thrown together, with less research and planning than the other adventures they had been on.

Danger looms from more than the jungle.

She came from his past and all their lives are on the line.

A cross between Indiana Jones and the Lost World, without the dinosaurs, add a kidnapping, and a lot of action and adventure in the jungle and I find it impossible to go wrong with City of Gold by Carolyn Arnold. I loved the book and I am super excited to have my hands on the next adventure in the series, The Secret of the Last Pharaoh.

Southern Pulp Fiction – Tijuana Donkey Showdown by Adam Howe @Adam_G_Howe
Tijuana Donkey Showdown - Adam Howe

Tijuana Donkey Showdown by Adam Howe is one raunchy, ridiculously hilarious ride.

I mean, look at the cover for a hint of what’s inside. I don’t believe your imagination can get you there. LOL

Tijuana Donkey Showdown

Amazon  /  Goodreads

MY REVIEW

Adam Howe’s writing is so over the top, backwoods swamp honky tonk, upchucking, hilariously, side splitting funny, I am almost embarassed to say that I LOVE IT!

I am happy to be back with Reggie in the shithole strip club he bounces at. His life is one bad thing after another and I laugh my way through each adventure.

I don’t know how to describe this raunchy, uncouth, crude, twisted story, but, maybe, Southern pulp fiction is a start. Adam Howe’s imagination is so far out there, I wonder what he’s taking, and I’ll have some please! LOL

The donkey…OMG…the donkey…

As I read his notes about his research, I can only imagine what someone would think if they looked at his browser history.

I love how he makes fun about Nicholas Cage. I love Nic and some of the weird twisted movies he plays in. What’s even funnier, right after I finished reading this, I ended up watching Ghost Rider, a Nicholas Cage movie that, well, you have to see it to ‘believe’ it.

There is a bonus story – Clean Up On Aisle 3 – This is one robbery where the owner has a surprise that you will never see coming…and never want to.

Monday Mini Review – Orchard by Jack H Bailey #JackHBailey
Orchard - Jack H. Bailey

I won a paperback copy of Orchard by Jack H Bailey and wanted to share it with you. Looking for fiction that reads as if true, look no further.

Amazon  /  Goodreads

MY REVIEW

Bombastic fictional story that reads as if it is true, of union busting mining companies and the dangerous, yet understandable characters who shot, blasted, and bombed their way through life. Be careful about backing your prey into a corner. Orchard by Jack H Bailey proves that violence is not the answer. The fantastic writing had me believing every word, caught up as if the story is real, and I had to keep reminding myself that this terribly sad story was fictitious.

I won a paperback copy of Orchard by Jack H Bailey.

Down The Rabbit Hole – Untamed by A G Howard @aghowardwrites
Untamed - A.G. Howard

Untamed (Splintered, #3.5)

Amazon Goodreads

MY ONE SENTENCE REVIEW

I won a first edition hardcover of Untamed by A G Howard some time ago and all I can say is…WOW…why did I wait so long to read this Alice in Wonderland remake that is so creatively, wondrously written, with a fantasy world anyone would want to get lost in and meet the  fabulous characters, both human and fantasy, that will make this impossible to put down.

GOODREADS BLURB

A post-Ensnared collection of three stories—available in both print and e-versions.

Alyssa Gardner went down the rabbit hole and took control of her destiny. She survived the battle for Wonderland and the battle for her heart. In this collection of three novellas, join Alyssa and her family as they look back at their memories of Wonderland.

In Six Impossible Things, Alyssa recalls the most precious moments of her life after Ensnared, and the role magic plays in preserving the happiness of those she loves. Alyssa’s mother reminisces about her own time in Wonderland and rescuing the man who would become her husband in The Boy in the Web. And Morpheus delves into Jeb’s memories of the events of Splintered in The Moth in the Mirror, available in print for the first time.

This collection expands upon Ensnared‘s epilogue, and includes some deleted scenes to provide a “director’s cut” glimpse into the past and futures of our favorite Splintered characters.
