To me this was sort of disappointing. I have seen James Patterson's name everywhere, not to mention the amount of rave reviews I've seen for his books. I was expecting writing that lives up to the amount of fans he has, but I didn't find that here. Don't get me wrong the plot is pretty interesting a...

This book felt endless. I think at some point I stopped caring about the characters, I was not even interested in what they were looking for. There were to many stories lines that started and never ended. It was a real struggle to finish it.I think if you are in middle school you could enjoy this bo...

This book was a good exercise in quick reading, and trust me, even if I merely skimmed the pages, hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel, I still got the gist... And believe me, when I tell you that if you haven't read this one, you ain't missing a thing.I don't particularly like Mr. Patterson'...

Full of fun and action. It amazes me that Max is only 14. She cares so much for her flock. I hope she gets her happy ending.

I read this book last year when i was sooooo bored. I was enticed by the title.. i even thought it was all about angels haha! Well, i was also a bit shocked because i never read the back of the book so i had no idea that this book was all about bird kids. At first, i felt iffy because the characters...

I will admit that I did not have high expectations for this book. By which I mean I had one of those moments where you stand in front of the library shelves and realize you've read everything that looks even remotely good, and then you grab a random book off the shelf because it's YA. (I also admit ...

This is Patterson writing a pretty typical Patterson novel but aimed at teens, so more angst, less sex and about the same level of violence. Maximum Ride is a winged girl (though the wings seem to be pretty invisible until they're needed, have to ask about how it would be possible to hide the wings...

A great book for SciFi enthusiasts. School will never be viewed the same way after reading this book.

I only found out this year that James Patterson wrote books other than crime fics. I was a little bit apprehensive when I picked this up and felt iffy reading the first few chapters but I got hooked with the almost continuous action & mystery surrounding the backgrounds of the flock & the Institute....

I really enjoyed this first installment, though the later books went downhill progressively. Check out Cassie's review at http://yafantasy.com/maximum-ride/ I pretty much agreed with this on all points.
