Probably the best full length book in the series. Li Tao and Ling Suyin were a great couple and great individual characters (both got a raw deal character development wise in the first book). It was fun to go back to the Tang Dynasty and the complicated web of politics, assassins, and a crumbling empire. I look forward to reading the next installment.
