I would love for anyone to join me in a Victorian online bookclub I am planning for 2015. Scheduled books are:

January: North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell (480 pages, published 1854)
February: New Grub Street by George Gissing (576 pages, published 1891)
March: Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy (480 pages, published 1874)
April: Mrs. Marjoribanks by Margaret Oliphant (512 pages, published 1865)
May: The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope (772 pages, published 1875)
June: The Charterhouse of Parma by Stendhal (532 pages, published 1839)
July: The Law and the Lady by Wilkie Collins ( 427 pages, published 1875)
August: East Lynne by Mrs. Henry Woods (644 pages, published 1861)
September: Rise of Silas Lapham by William Howells (400 pages, published 1885)
October: Germinal by Emile Zola (592 pages, published 1885)
November: Washington Square by Henry James (240 pages, published 1880)
December: Heidi by Johanna Spyri (352 pages, published 1880)

You'll find more information on my blog!
I've read the first two but not the rest. Well, I may have read Heidi, but I can't remember. :-( I'll see what I can do. I'm pretty booked for the beginning of the year, which may be good since I've read the Jan & Feb books. I read The Red and The Black by Stendhal and, while it wasn't bad, I wasn't thrilled by it. Mrs. Marjoribanks looks like fun. Germinal is a definite must read ....... I think there may be a read-along of it coming up. Ooo, so many good books, so little time!
I saw your post on GR and joined Booklikes. I would love to discuss some of the books. I will off and on if I may. I want to North and South and Far from the Madding Crowd.

Welcome to booklikes! Great to have new folks here!
Very interested in doing this, BUT grad school... so I'm going to follow this at the very least and possibly join in? List looks great, so if I don't read these at the same pace as the rest of you, I definitely plan to catch up later! Thanks for sharing! :)
